It basically says, either mine is a dynamic mode switchable HP notebook or a fixed mode. As I'm sure about this as always mine notebook is dynamic mode since it used to work perfect that way. However, reinstalling all the drivers they released officially doesn't work, neither using the auto-tool as suggested in this document.

Spelling it out, if you use the generic drivers from Intel's site, you will break the switching capability. You must use the drivers provided by your laptop vendor. If they are not updating these drivers, that is an issue between you and them (I will just say that I certainly won't be making any purchases from vendors who abandons their previous products).

It's an old laptop, as old as Win7. They still offer drivers but somehow that doesn't help, AMD on the other hand, provides a tool that auto detect and install drivers, but that still has minor glitches.
