Texture streaming issues and missing collision in Spider-Man games on Intel Arc B580

Hello everyone.

I would like to report a problem I’m having with the Spider-Man franchise on PC while using an Arc B580 12GB Limited Edition.

Sometimes it seems that the textures don’t load in time, and my game pauses to load those textures. There have been times when I ended up going inside a building because the texture didn’t load and there was no collision, so I had to reload my save.

My setup is:

Ryzen 5 5500X3D
32GB RAM 3200MHz
ASUS TUF Gaming B550 Plus II
Kingston NVMe SSD
Corsair 550W 80 Plus PSU

No matter what in-game settings I use, this texture loading problem happens from time to time.

I don’t believe this is a performance issue, because even without ray tracing and with textures set to medium, this problem still happens.

I previously had an RX 7600 with the same PC configuration, and I never had this type of problem with this game, even on high settings with ray tracing enabled.

Because of that, I believe this might be an optimization issue with the B580.

Hello gustavollemos23,

Thank you for reaching out regarding the texture loading issues you're experiencing with the Spider-Man franchise. I appreciate the detailed information you've provided about your system configuration and the specific symptoms you're encountering.

To help me better diagnose and resolve this issue, I would like to gather some additional information:

  1. Have you performed a clean driver installation using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)?
  2. I've noticed that your current power supply is rated at 550W. However, the minimum PSU requirement for the Intel Arc B580 is 600W. This power deficit may be contributing to the texture loading issues you're experiencing, as insufficient power delivery can cause instability during high-demand scenarios. You can check the Intel® Arc™ Graphics – Desktop Quick Start Guide for more details.

I recommend addressing the power supply requirement first to determine whether it may be contributing to the texture streaming issues. Please let me know the results so I can provide further assistance if needed.

Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to helping you resolve this issue.

Best regards,
