The Last Last of Us Part 2 and Iris Xe

hi, i just installed the lastest driver available ( 32.0.101.6739 ) an The Last of us part2, still has the rendering problem i stated in a discussion almost 3 weeks ago. I am using an 11th generation I5 processor, have 24 gbs of Ram, and have Intel Iris xe as intergrated graphics. The game runs on the similar spec integrated graphics amd cards.
I will share an image with this mail so you can see, it is the same that happens in the new Spider-Man 2 video game (which is also a port by Nixxes and Playstation).
Hope you can fix it, as you did with the The Last of Us part 1 on pc, which I enjoyed too much thanks to my humble setup.
I dont believe the game is too badly optimized because it´s running on handhelds pc (that runs with integrated graphics).
And to mention, i can run God of War Ragnarok, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Spiderman Remastered smoothly (for this setting is aprox in the 30fps). My laptop also runs Uncharted 4, and lastly The Last of Us Part 1. Soooo, if you guys can give the low spec faithful iris xe players a hand, we will be grateful.
The game looks exactly like this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9isFjc-gl9Y&ab_channel=VITO
i´m fully aware of a pop up message in the launcher saying the my gpu is not supported. I know the minimun specs (
Minimum (720p Low @ 30 FPS)

Processor: Intel Core i3-8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X
Memory: 16 GB
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (4GB) or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT (4GB)
Storage: 150 GB SSD space
OS: Windows 10/11 (1909 or higher)

But this doesn´t change the fact that the problem isn´t that, the problem is within the drivers of Iris Xe and the games Nixxes Studios ports from ps4 and ps5, basing this on the fact that similar specs AMD integrated graphics (which are not in the minimum specs too) are running the game, without the rendering black and red screen problem.
For this I ask, if you can see if the DEVS can solve this driver problem so we Iris XE players can enjoy this game. There are many discussions about Spiderman 2 and the same problem on intel forums (please look into it).
I have already answer this questions:
What is the exact model of your laptop?
1. ASUS X515 EA-INTEL I5 11TH GENERATION- IRIS XE- 24 GB RAM
Have you tried using the OEM driver for testing?
2. I have
Have you used DDU to completely remove all residual drivers and installed a new one?
3. I have completely removed the old driver and install the new one, check the bios update, and the windows update.
Could you provide a screenshot of your in-game display and graphics settings?
4. All set to the minimun posible (Very Low), with IrisXee re-scalator set in balanced, fsr on, vsync on.
Which gaming platform did you use to download the game?
5. I buy it and download it from steam.
Also thanks to the community of iris xe players we came with this video Look at this https://youtu.be/_rr4mB73QWE?feature=shared.Seems
This old driver fixes the problem with the game, it might help you get into a developing and updated driver that help us ( the driver where the red and black glitch is fixed: 31.0.101.3222. Nonetheless it´s old and unstable (does not support fsr and frame generation) and the game crashes after a minute or two of gaming. Hope that this can help you guys figure out what is wrong and develop a new driver that performs well and fixes the red and black glitch in the game.)
Lastly, the game can run between 20-30 fps on high contrast mode (activated on accessibility options) which proves the point of the game running and this being definitely a driver problem.
I share multiple screenshots of my computer showing how the game looks with the bug, the settings of the game, the old driver(31.0.101.3222) that "fixes" the colors but its unstable, the high contrast mode and the Ssu of my computer.

Hope you can answer soon.

To all the readers and Iris xe Users, if you can leave a kudo or comment this discussion would be great. Helps the visibility of this article and the rapid response from the Intel team. So share your experiences if they are the same

Here´s un update, i again tested the driver 31.0.101.3222 with the new game patch 1.2 (release on April 17th), the game runs between the 20-24fps (little bit worse than with the new drivers) and I could play it for about half an hour before a crash occur due to how old this driver is. So please look into it and use it to release a new driver that solves the black and red issue. I attached to this post a screen save of the game and how it looks.

I can't believe the Intel is not even trying to fix this. They didn’t fix Spiderman 2, Miles Morales either. And now they are doing this with TLOU2. Unbelievable!

Hi Robin! I got in touch with the telephonic line of Intel from Argentina, they understand everything i told them. But a few days ago I received a message saying our proccessors aren't powerful enough to play new AAA games, and that them wont be looking to develop a new driver. The only hope we got left is Dhanniel and his team keeping his word and releasing a driver that fixes this.

Sorry to hear that. It is really frustrating. Those games are not even new AAA titled. They are just new PC port or remake. That's it. I gave up on Alan Wake 2, Avatar and few others. But I am still hoping to see TLOU2, Miles Morales and Spider Man 2 run. Who knows! I feel like they don't even care anymore.

Yeah me too man, hope the fix this eventually as they did with part 1. Yesterday i got in touch with the live support of intel. They responded they keep working on a driver that "might" solve the issue with The Last of Us part 2

That's great. If Iris Xe ever manages to handle the game, you deserve the credit. Hats off, brother.

Did you ever try Ragnos1997 Low Spec Experience for TLOU2 on that old driver?

Also did you play Detroit Becomes Human? This old game is also highly unoptimized. Gets only 15fps at lowest setting.

I haven't test Ragnos low experience, I don't want to mess up anything. Haven't play Detroit become human, but i know it poorly runs on Iris xe, is not well optimized.

So with that old drivers, you are saying it didn’t have red grain issues but it crashed?

Exactly, i was able to play all the supermarket part just before it crashed. I was about to enter Eugene Basement with Dina and the game crashed. I don't know man, I'm even considering getting an amd desktop pc due to this, because i've run every option posible to communicate with Intel. I guess we have to keep this threads and discussions alive so they know we still have this issue.

update may 10th: 32.0.101.6793 driver does not fix the problem, even makes it worse. High contrast mode does not work either, presenting the same rendering error.

Jorge you should open a discussion about The Last of us part 2 problem too! So they know we are all suffering the same problem. Use my discussion as template if you want (with your specs).

May 20th: with the last update of the game (1.4) i was able to run the  game for almost half an hour again. pretty stable fps (near 30fps with fsr and fg activated) with the 31.0.101.3222 old 2022 driver. This proves again that Iris XE runs the game perfectly and the problem is within the drivers.

Please don´t discard this discussion saying the setup does not have the minimun requirements (we alredy now) and i´m showing you how the game is literally running better than the last update with an old driver (even better than the last of us part 1 game actually). So please intel, we are waiting for a solution
