hi, i just installed the latest driver available ( 32.0.101.6881 ) and The Last of us part2, still has the rendering problem another guy started this discussion along time ago too and intel didnt too anything I am using an 11th generation I5 processor 1145g7 , have 16 gb of Ram, and have Intel Iris Xe as integrated graphics. The game runs on the similar spec integrated graphics AMD cards. it is the same that happens in the new Spider-Man 2 video game (which is also a port by Nixxes and Playstation) but in the last of us part 2 remaster the screen is red and black instead of just red .
Hope you can fix it, as you did with the The Last of Us part 1 on pc, which I enjoyed too much thanks to my humble setup.
I dont believe the game is too badly optimized because it´s running on handhelds pc (that runs with integrated graphics).
And to mention, i can run God of War Ragnarök, Red Dead Redemption 2 and Spiderman Remastered smoothly (for this setting is approximately in the 30fps). My laptop also runs Uncharted 4, and lastly The Last of Us Part 1. Soooo, if you guys can give the low spec faithful iris Xe players a hand, we will be grateful.
The game looks exactly like this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9isFjc-gl9Y&ab_channel=VITO
i´m fully aware of a pop up message in the launcher saying the my gpu is not supported. I know the minimun specs (Minimum (720p Low @ 30 FPS)
Processor: Intel Core i3-8100 or AMD Ryzen 3 1300X
Memory: 16 GB
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 (4GB) or AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT (4GB)
Storage: 150 GB SSD space
OS: Windows 10/11 (1909 or higher)
But this doesn´t change the fact that the problem isn´t that, the problem is within the drivers of Iris Xe and the games Nixxes Studios ports from ps4 and ps5, basing this on the fact that similar specs AMD integrated graphics (which are not in the minimum specs too) are running the game, without the rendering black and red screen problem.
For this I ask, if you can see if the DEVS can solve this driver problem so we Iris XE players can enjoy this game. There are many discussions about Spiderman 2, Spiderman Miles Morales and Elder Ring Nightrein and the same problem on intel forums (please look into it).
Also thanks to the community of iris xe players we came with this video Look at this https://youtu.be/_rr4mB73QWE?feature=shared.Seems
This old driver fixes the problem with the game, it might help you get into a developing and updated driver that help us ( the driver where the red and black glitch is fixed: 31.0.101.3222. Nonetheless it´s old and unstable and the game crashes after a minute or two of gaming. Hope that this can help you guys figure out what is wrong and develop a new driver that performs well and fixes the red and black glitch in the game.)
that OG guy recorded this videos of his computer Running the Last Of Us part 2 with 3222_101.2111 old driver https://youtu.be/m7jv4SQZM-8?feature=shared and short footage of Gameplay too before the game crashes due to how old the driver (july 2022) is: https://youtu.be/bBMuMGUZKPc?feature=shared
Please notice the pop up message that shows at the end, the same other players reported ("DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG" error, or 0x887A0006)
he share multiple screenshots, videos he recorded using the old driver, of his computer showing how the game looks with the bug, the settings of the game, the old driver(31.0.101.3222) that "fixes" the colors but its unstable, the high contrast mode and the Ssu of his computer

Hi MuhammadAhmed,
Thank you for taking the time to provide such a thorough and thoughtful report. I truly appreciate the level of detail, as well as the insights you and the Iris Xe community have shared regarding The Last of Us Part II Remastered and the rendering issues you're experiencing with driver version 32.0.101.6881. I completely understand your frustration, especially given that you've been able to run other demanding titles such as God of War Ragnarök, Red Dead Redemption 2, Uncharted 4, and The Last of Us Part I on your current setup with stable performance. It’s clear you're making the most out of your system, and we respect your dedication to finding solutions, even testing legacy drivers like 31.0.101.3222, despite its instability. While we do recognize that your system falls below the official minimum requirements, we also understand your point, other integrated graphics with similar specs appear to handle the game without the same rendering issues. That tells us this may indeed be a compatibility or driver-level problem rather than just a hardware limitation.
After careful review, we can confirm that The Last of Us Part II is not fully supported on Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics. This title relies on rendering features designed for discrete graphics cards, as outlined in the developer’s minimum requirements. Similar feedback has been received from other users, and while we’ve escalated the matter internally and continue engaging with game developers like Nixxes, full compatibility on Iris Xe hardware cannot be guaranteed.
We acknowledge your findings on the driver, however, as noted, it’s outdated and unstable. For optimal system reliability, we recommend using the latest production drivers. To achieve a stable experience with this game, a dedicated graphics card is strongly advised.
Have a nice day!
Best regards,
Von M.
