Hi All,
I have an ASUS Motherboard P8B75-M/CSM with built-in Intel Graphics w/ Intel Core i3 Processor 3.30 Ghz Speed. The Graphics Version is win64_153338.
I am not having any crashes or lockups or freezes because of the Graphics on this computer, however I lost the Mouse Pointer from the Windows Boot Manager for the operating systems.
The Mouse Pointer had been available until Build 10532 was installed.
Using WagnardMobile DDU Utility and removing the Intel Graphics, which needs to be done to remove Windows.old Folder, the Mouse Pointer shows up again in the Windows Boot Manager. When I reinstall or upgrade the Intel Graphics, the Mouse Pointer is missing again.
What setting do I need to change to restore the Mouse Pointer to the Windows Boot Manager?

Hello, thecreator:
Could please attach a picture of the Windows Boot Manager not showing the mouse pointer? I would like to get more information about this behavior; at what stage you get access to the Windows Boot Manager?
Regards,
Amy.

Hi Amy,
Can't seem to Edit my post or delete it and start over.

Hi Amy,
This is my ASUS P5N-D Motherboard with EVGA GeForce 210 w/ 512 MBs DDR2. You can see the Mouse Pointer in the Boot Manager.
Crashes when I am in a Skype Video Call, but the crashes are random. No crashes with Intel Graphics Drivers installed, just a lack of a Mouse Pointer in the Boot Manager.

Thank you for the pictures.
Three boot is not supported, this could be the reason why the mouse pointer disappears. Does mouse pointer disappear with one boot option?

Hi Amy,
The Mouse Pointer is not available in 1, 2, or 3 Boot Choice options, but is available in the Boot Manager when Intel Graphics is not installed. When Microsoft Basic Display Adapter is installed, the Mouse Pointer is available.

Hi Amy,
I did and no Mouse Pointer is shown in the Boot Manager.
When I uninstalled the Intel Graphics in Safe Mode using Display Driver Uninstaller, Microsoft's Basic Display Adapter is shown in Device Manager and the Mouse Pointer is shown as a Mouse Pointer in the Boot Manager.
After I installed the Intel Graphics Driver from Asus and the link you pointed to. Driver: Intel_Graphics_Win10_VER1018104252. The Mouse Pointer is not shown.
Is Intel going to fix this shortcoming?

I tried to replicate this behavior but everything worked fine in our systems, at this stage I would encourage the community here to collaborate with previous experiences with similar matters.

Hi Amy,
I found the problem. While Intel Supports the Mouse Pointer in the Dual Boot Manager for Windows 10 Build 10240, Intel has not upgraded the drivers to Support the latest Public Release of version of Windows 10 Build 10586.Microsoft installs the only release version of Intel Graphics.
How build of Windows 10 are you testing with the Dual Boot Manager, that you talk about?
I restored the Acronis Image for Build 10240. so I can see the Intel Graphics numbers.

I only tested this with one boot option, like mentioned before Dual Boot/Triple Boot are not supported from our end, and the build version tested was 10240.

Hi Amy,
The Boot Manager is not display, when there is only operating system on the computer.
The Boot Manager is displayed, where there are two operating systems to choose from.
It uses the Mouse Drivers and Video Graphics installed, only from the Default operating system.
Intel Supported the Boot Manager for Windows 10 Build 10240 and has not upgraded the Graphics Drivers for Public Release Windows 10 Build 10586. Windows 10 Core has changed and is changing.
The Public can no longer obtain Windows 10 Build 10240. Microsoft pushes out Build 10586.

Regards,
If Intel does not support the Microsoft Boot Manager, and you don't support the latest Windows 10 Release Build, I guess Users will need to look elsewhere for their Graphics Card.
The latest Intel Graphics, still does not show the Mouse Pointer, while another system with a EVGA Nvidia GeForce 210 Graphic Card, does.
Why were you testing with Build 10240, where the problem lays with Build 10586 and Intel Drivers?

Let me double check if I can get that build version and test this one more time. In the meantime, if someone in the community might have a clue of what is going on here you are more than welcome to join this thread.

Hi Amy_Intel,
Were you able to get the latest Public Version of Windows 10 to test? It is real easy to get and less than 45 minutes to install on Fast Computers.

thecreator, thank you for your patience.
Yes, I have been running some tests, but unfortunately I have not been able to replicate this. Let me run some more tests on a different motherboard and as soon as possible I will get back to you.

Hi Amy Intel,
When you have just one operating system, installed, the Boot Manager is not shown at all and goes directly to the Login for Windows 10.
Set up the computer's Hard Drive for two different Windows 10 Builds. One partition for Windows 10 Build 10240 and the other partition for Windows 10 Build 10586. Since you are not using the test computer in a Business Environment, you can test.
With the Default Build 10240, the Mouse Pointer is indeed available.
Having Build 10586 as the Default operating system, the Mouse Pointer is not available / not seen, but it is available to select between Build 10240 and Build 10586. With the Default being 10586 and selecting 10240 to boot into, the computer will restart and boot directly in the 10240 Build / partition.
I rebuilt, a friend's computer, using the Asus Motheroboard P8B75-M/CSM and the Mouse Pointer is not seen, the same it is on mine.

Is this related to the boot logo appearing twice in build 10586 and not 10240? It seems that the boot logo only appears once with the basic display adapter and everything works fine.
