After updating Ubuntu to 24.04.4, sudo apt udpate returns error.
Attempted to update using instructions from https://dgpu-docs.intel.com/driver/installation.html#ubuntu-install-steps using update steps for existing install which completed, but sudo apt update still fails.
Drivers no longer load.

During research discovered drivers are included in Kernel 6.5. Ubuntu 24.04 now supports this kernel.
My current kernel is 5.15.0-113-generic
error noticed in /var/lib/dkms/intel-i915-dkms/1.23.10.43.231129.43/build/make.log
warning: the compiler differs from the one used to build the kernel
The kernel was built by: x86_64-linux-gnu-gcc-12 (Ubuntu 12.3.0-1ubuntu1~22.04) 12.3.0
You are using: gcc-12 (Ubuntu 12.3.0-1ubuntu1~22.04) 12.3.0
Upgraded kernel with following command
sudo apt install linux-generic-hwe-22.04
Kernel now showing as 6.5.0-41-generic
Drivers now loading.
