Trouble Installing new drivers

I have tried several methods: the standard update driver option through the device manager; installing the driver using the .exe; installing the driver then rebooting then hitting update; also tried locating the driver that I downloaded but it can't locate the exe. Essentially I need a way to overwrite the existing driver with the new driver by forcing it to use the new version.

Hello Goodhome2@Boise, thanks for joining the Graphics Community.

In order to assist you with this issue, it will be necessary to get information about your system and the drivers you are trying to install.

Could you please attach the DX Diag report from your system?

(Start -> Run -> dxdiag -> Save All Information).

Also, please let me know the drivers version you want to remove from your system and the ones you want to install in it.

Thank you Sylvia.

I am trying to replace driver version 8.15.10.1930 and install 15.12.75.4.1930 as determined by the Intel Driver Update Utility. Here is the DX Diag report:

Besides what I mentioned above, I also uninstalling the existing driver, rebooting, then updating the driver through the device manager and that didn't work.

I would like to inform you that the system is not able to update the driver since it looks like it already has the latest version available installed.

In our site the driver version 15.12.75.4.1930 is the latest version available. Usually OEM systems do not allow the installation of our drivers since they are generic. OEMs make a lot of customizations to the drivers and the installation of Intel's drivers could overwrite those customizations. Therefore it will affect your system.

I found these articles that contain additional information on graphics drivers, but they explain the reason why the same driver has a different number. http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-011363.htm?wapkw=driver+version Graphics Drivers — Identifying Your Graphics Driver Version
