I have tried everything to get the latest UHD 770 version to load but can't get it to work. I have tried DSA and that fails with
Intel® 11th – 14th Gen Processor Graphics - Windows*
Installation failed with error code -64536
I have tried uninstalling the current version and reloading and then tried a manual load of the .exe file upgrade . That doesn't work either .
Tried going into safe mode and tried it from there , same result .
I have tried Lenovos latest version of the driver and that doesnt load either .
Any other ideas to try at this point ?
It is Lenovo NEO-50T desktop with Intel I7 12 gen processor and 32 gig of ram . Thanks for any input .

Hello Netgg57,
Thank you for reaching out and for the detailed information provided so far.
To better understand the issue and assist you more effectively with the Intel UHD 770 driver installation failure, I would like to ask a few additional questions:
- What is your current Windows version and build number?
- What version of the UHD 770 driver are you currently running, if any?
- What specific version of the latest driver are you trying to install?
- Are you experiencing any display issues with the current driver?
- Could you please share a screenshot of the Intel Driver & Support Assistant error mentioned?
- Have there been any recent hardware or software changes prior to the issue starting?
- Can you confirm whether Device Manager shows the Intel UHD 770 correctly, or if it is listed with any warning or error symbols?
Please provide as much detail as possible, as this will help me identify the root cause and provide an effective solution.
I appreciate your cooperation and look forward to your response.
Best regards,
Bueno S.

Hi , I am running Windows 11 Pro 25H2 . It is running a UHD driver 32.0.101.7079 from10/28/25 . I havent been happy with colors , seem to be a little washed out so I wanted to try an updated driver . I currently have both the latest drivers from Intel and even Lenovo in my download folder but neither will load up for some reason . There is nothing in device manager under the display driver that indicates a problem , says device operating normally . No hardware changes made recently . Here is what DSA says

Hi Netgg57,
Thank you for providing the details regarding your system and display driver concern.
Based on the information you shared, I would recommend performing a clean installation of the graphics driver using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU), and then reinstalling the OEM (Lenovo) graphics driver afterward. This process can help remove any corrupted or conflicting driver components that may be preventing the newer drivers from installing correctly.
Additionally, I would like to properly set your expectations that since this is an OEM (branded laptop) device, our support may be somewhat limited. This is because the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) may have implemented custom technologies, settings, drivers, and features specifically designed for your system that we may not have full visibility into. Nevertheless, I will still do my best to assist you with your concern and help identify the cause of the issue.
Please let me know once you have performed the DDU process and reinstalled the OEM driver, or if you encounter any issues during the process. I will be happy to continue assisting you further.
Best regards,
Bueno S.

Hi I tried your suggestion and I'm still seeing the same issues . I ran the DDU in safe mode and it supposedly removed the driver and then it rebooted and said it was just the basic Microsoft display driver . At this point I ran the Lenovo driver executable and it looks like runs but it does not , still says basic display driver under device manager after the supposed install and reboot .
I then tried the same process and tried loading up the intel driver and it still fails with the same error when I use the DSA to install it .
If there are any other ideas let me know , short of reloading Windows . If I have to use the current one it will be ok but just don't know why it won't upgrade . Thanks .

Hi Netgg57,
Thank you for the update and trying our last recommendation.
Before we further proceed, let me inform you that As of September 19, 2025, Intel will be moving 11th - 14th Gen Intel Processor Graphics and related Intel Atom®, Pentium®, and Celeron® processor graphics to a legacy software support model. Intel will provide software support for affected products on critical fixes and security vulnerabilities only. Software updates for these products will move to a quarterly release cadence with additional critical releases as needed.
Only critical fixes and security vulnerabilities will be addressed in quarterly driver releases going forward.
Would like to continue with the support? Please note that even if the issue is fixed by our developers, the fix will only come to Intel Ultra Core Series 1 or newer drivers and will not be included on the driver of your graphics card.
If you have questions, please let us know. Thank you.
Best regards,
Michael L.
