Unity Issues with driver update

I’ve noticed the issue mostly with lethal company, but several unity games are now crashing after driver update 31.0.101.4972 and 5074. When downgrading to 4953 the issue is gone.

We sincerely regret you are experiencing crashing using our latest driver, we will be more than happy to assist you.

 

When you installed the latest driver (5074), did you use the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU)?

 

Please provide us with a reference game (download link), and also the steps to reproduce the issue.

 

Also, in order to have more information about your system, please download, install and run Intel® System Support Utility for Windows. Make sure you check “Everything” before you scan, then save the report and attach it to your response.

 

Then, please generate and attach the Report for Intel® Graphics Command Center

I did use DDU when installing the most recent updates. 

 

the main game I'm having issues with (lethal company)

 

I ran the scan after reinstalling the newest driver and letting the game crash.

 

I wasn't able to generate a driver report. the instructions seem to not apply to the arc control driver.

I forgot to mention the steps to reproduce. The game crashes within 30seconds of starting a lobby, online or lan.

I see in the Intel® SSU that there are some pending updates, please follow the steps and answer the questions below:


  • Is the graphics card an Intel Branded Card or is it from another brand?
  • Are there error messages when Lethal Company crashes?
  • We recommend having the BIOS up to date, to improve compatibility, stability, and performance. Update the BIOS to version 5.01. For guidance, contact ASRock.

I updated the BIOS and ME drivers and still having the same issue.

The crash either generates a ‘program not responding’ popup or it will freeze and has to be closed from task manager.

I have been working on the investigation, since Lethal Company is an early-access game, and any issues with it, should be reported to the game developer.


I see you also mentioned you have issues with other games using the same engine, please open one thread per game so we can take a look and keep threads organized.
