Hello, I just have a question here, so any answer would be great. I have this decent HP 2000 laptop with windows 8.1 installed. with 4gb of ram I can play most videos games on the low settings. But with my Intel(R) HD 3000 video card, it only has 32mb of allocated memory. Now, i have heard that you can allocate more ram to it, but with windows 8.1 it is challenging! Thanks

Hi Noodleswag, Check the BIOS settings of the HP 2000 and look for Graphics Memory Settings. Your system may or may not allow you to change the settings. If it does, select a higher value and save the settings an exit.
However, the Intel HD 3000 does dynamically allocate graphics memory as needed by the system and the application. See this article for additional information on graphics memory and Intel HD Graphics. http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/CS-033984.htm Graphics — Graphics Memory FAQ For Microsoft Windows 8 and 8.1*
Thanks
Robert

To enter and make changes to the system BIOS, see the maintenance and Service Guide on the HP support site here: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02666786.pdf http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c02666786.pdf
Accessing the BIOS setup can be found starting on page 94. However, I looked at the information and did not see anything that would allow you to change the graphics memory allocation. It may not be possible for you to change the setting on the HP Pavilion 2000. You should contact HP Support to see if it is possible to change the settings and if you are unfamiliar with making changes to a system BIOS.
Thanks
Robert
