I'm trying to play games like euro truck simulator 2 and garry's mod but when i load the game it freezes the display but whilst still loading the game in the background (i can hear all the sounds and click the buttons but the screen stays frozen). I only have a temporary fix which is to backdate the drivers but this is easier said than done. I then have to reinstall latest ones for games like far cry... Is there anything I can do to fix this permanently as game are all i use this computer for? Thanks in advance for any help I may receive.

Hello evelomy,
Thank you for joining the Intel communities.
What Windows are you using?
Could you please post the graphics report?
Go to Intel® Graphics and Control Panel > Options > information Center > Save.
Also, I will appreciate if you can post the msinfo32.
- 1) Please press Windows Key + R to open the Run Menu
- 2) Type msinfo32 and click OK
- 3) While viewing the System Summary node go to File then Save (Please do not use Export)
- 4) Save your MSINFO32 report as msinfo32.nfo on your desktop for easy access and then you can post it here.
Regards!

Hi Ivan,
I'm running windows 10 and attached are the files you requested. What seems strange is its only on these games not things like far cry. Hope you can help.

After I have done further investigation I have found the requirements for these games and the euro truck simulator 2 requires Windows 7 and Windows 10 is a very new version to work with this game, I recommend contacting the game manufacturer to see if you can get a patch to make it work with Windows 10. Same thing with Garry's mod.

It is possible that Far cry comes with a patch to work with Windows 10 and that's why you don't have problems with that one but Far cry is compatible with Windows* XP.

Hi Ivan
Sorry its taken so long to reply. The problem is it used to work perfectly, its only since the graphics updated for windows ten I've had the problem. The old drivers used to work fine. On a little investigation i have found out that its freezing as the graphics drivers "stopped responding and successfully recovered" this is preventing the games from working..... any ideas?
Thanks Travis

In this case we will need to wait for a new driver to come up and you can also try the steps on the following link:

Found the problem!!!!!
As it turns out the problem lied in the 3d options. Despite having a 3D TV my computer has a hissy fit when launching games. All i had to do was make sure 3D was turned off, Haven't had a problem since!!!!!
Thanks again for all your help.
