Why can't I update my graphics driver?

Hi,

I have processor: i5-6300U

Windows 10

64-bit.

Trying to update graphics driver.

Current driver: Intel(R) Graphics HD 520

Date: 01/07/2016

Version: 20.19.15.4483

I did the auto-scan thing that Intel have, and it showed me the windows 10 64 bit DCH graphics driver. However, when I try to install, I get the error "not compatible with your processor".

What driver do I need please?

Many thanks,

Ryan

You need to remove ALL previous versions of the graphics driver, unless you are a laptop. If you are a laptop, you can use only the drivers provided by the laptop manufacturer.

If not a laptop, use this procedure. https://forums.intel.com/s/question/0D50P00004Fm2ngSAB/how-to-install-the-dch-driver?language=en_US

I also suggest you download and install DCH driver version 25.20.100.6618 or newer. These versions (finally) have support for over-installing older non-DCH driver versions.

You need contact HP for support.

HP is solely responsible for support of your laptop.

For laptops - and especially when talking about graphics drivers - you should only be getting your drivers from your laptop vendor.
