Why the value of CAP(Host Capabilities Register) is different from the one stated in ICH9R specification?

Hi:

I read from the ICH9R specification that the CAP(Host Capabilities Register) should be 0xff22ffc5.

However, the real value I got from my board's ICH9R chipset is 0xef20ffe5.

That means the ICH9R does not support port multiplier (PMP) according to the SPM field (bit 17).

Currently, the ICH9R is configured in Desktop AHCI mode (Ports 0-5).

Should I configure it to other mode to have the ICH9R supporting PMP?

or

Does Intel have variant models of ICH9R? (ICH9R with PMP and ICH9R without PMP?)

PS:

1. The specification is got form the link: http://www.intel.com/design/chipsets/datashts/316972.htm.

2. My development board is SuperMicro's X7SPA-H (http://www.supermicro.com/products/motherboard/ATOM/ICH9/X7SPA.cfm?typ=H).
