Will Intel Arc graphics drivers be optimized for the newly released game,Neverness to Everness?

Hello Intel Support Team,

I am writing to inquire if there will be upcoming driver optimizations for the newly released Unreal Engine 5 game from China, "Neverness to Everness" (NTE).

Unfortunately, the game currently does not offer the XeSS (Xe Super Sampling) option for Intel Arc graphics cards. As a result, users are forced to run the game at native resolution, leading to extremely low frame rates. Will there be any driver-level fixes or collaboration with the developers to address this?

Hi lvequan,

Thank you for the update and for installing the latest graphics driver version 8735. It's great to hear that you're seeing significant performance improvements in your other games!

Regarding the stuttering issue you're experiencing in "Neverness to Everness" with XeSS unavailable, I'd like to help you troubleshoot this further.

Could you please let me know:

  1. When using the global version of the game, does the issue still occur?
  2. Additionally, to better analyze your system configuration, could you please provide an Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* report and send the results in your response? This will help me get a complete picture of your setup and identify potential solutions for the XeSS availability and performance concerns.

I understand how important smooth gameplay is, especially when you're only getting 40-50 FPS on high settings with TAA. Let's work together to see if we can improve this experience for you.

Thank you for your patience, and I look forward to your response.

Best regards,

Hi lvequan,

Thank you for contacting the Intel Community Forum.

To further assist you with your query and to provide you with the best possible support, could you please provide the following information?

  • May I know the current driver version your using?
  • May I also know the exact make and model of your Arc graphics card?
  • Can you also share the exact download link of the game for testing?

I look forward to your response!

Here is the requested information for your investigation:
Current Driver Version: 8626
Graphics Card Model: Gunnir Intel Arc B580 Index/Photon 12G OC (Triple-fan)
Game Download Link (CN): https://yh.wanmei.com/m/
Global Version Link: https://nte.perfectworld.com/ (The global Open Beta starts in 5 days, on April 29).
I also want to sincerely apologize for the multiple identical threads. Due to some network and browser issues on my end, I mistakenly thought my original post had failed to submit, which led to the duplicate entries.
I would be extremely grateful if your team could look into optimizing the performance and compatibility for this title. Thank you very much for your help!

Hi lvequan,

Thank you for the response and for sharing the download link for the game.

Have you tried to update the driver to the latest version 32.0.101.8735 since the version 8626 is already outdated? You may also use DDU to install the driver.

I look forward to your response!

Yes, I updated to the latest graphics driver version 8735 yesterday, and it has significantly improved performance in other games I play. However, in "Neverness to Everness", I am still experiencing stuttering because XeSS is unavailable. With only TAA enabled, the frame rate is only around 40-50 FPS on high settings.

Hello Intel Technical Support Team,
Thank you for your response. I’d like to clarify that the game currently does not offer or support XeSS for Intel GPU users, meaning that all Intel discrete and integrated graphics users are unable to use XeSS.
Given this, I was wondering whether there might be any possibility of a future driver update providing some minor optimizations for this game.
However, I understand that this is likely something the game developer should address, and that they should enable XeSS support for Intel GPU users.
