Will the Intel HD 4600 graphics chipset support a monitor with a native resolution of 2560x1080 on a DisplayPort connection?

Hello, I am looking for a list of resolutions supported by the Intel HD 4600 graphics chipset. Specifically, I need to know with certainty that the chipset will support a monitor with a native resolution of 2560x1080, on a DisplayPort connection. Is there any webpage or documentation with a list of supported resolutions?

Do those specs include the resolution of 2560x1080? I have a customer who is going to purchase an "Ultrawide" 21:9 widescreen monitor, but since it's pretty expensive, they'd like to see some documentation that specifies whether or not this resolution is supported.

Dear wstrika,

I couldn't find info on resolution steps, but tried to solve the problem via other way,

so I searched for others with same settings:

http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2214597/dual-ultrawide-monitors.html http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/answers/id-2214597/dual-ultrawide-monitors.html

And found this (1 year old):

Issues fixed:

...

- Resolved an issue where 2560x1080 resolution was not available on the third DisplayPort 1.2 monitor when daisy chained.

...

And this is in the FAQ:

Can I get a list of resolutions that my Intel graphics support?

Check with your computer and display manufacturers to find out the supported resolutions for the computer and display.

: D

Now I think: HD 4600

others:

- mobo bios update

- monitor driver

- DisplayPort cable

@ wstrika, Yes, 2560x1080 is supported by Intel HD 4600 graphics if there are no limitations set by your system manufacturer in the BIOS/VBIOS.

Thanks

Robert
