Hi,
When I install the drivers (I've done it both from intel and my motherboard's site, it is a GA z97x gaming 5), windows only recognizes the display adapter in the device manager. If I click advanced settings in screen resolution, it says that I have a basic windows adapter. There is no option for graphics properties when I right click on the desktop and the shortcut to the Intel Graphics Control Panel is unresponsive. My BIOS is up to date, this is a new computer, everything else works fine, I've only had it for a few days. It seems like some others have had this problem but a solution is yet to be found:
I have not reinstalled Windows.
Thank you for the help

Hi ELK,
I am sorry you are having problems with the system but let me help you.
I would like you to uninstall the current graphics driver you have in the system and download the latest at this link:

It is also important to mention that you must update the BIOS to latest version.
