Hi there,
This is my first time with this Intel Community Forum; please forgive me if I chose wrong Board. If so, please guide me or connect with correct Board of this Intel Community Forum.
My X1 Carbon Lenovo Laptop screen flickers for past couple of years, intermittently. However, now it became a regular feature and could not work on it. Brief information for your kind perusal:
Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon 2.1 GHz i7 8GB 240SSD - Gen TP00061A - Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.
INTEL(R) CORE(TM) i7-4600u CPU @ 2.10 GHz 2.69 GHz
Processor: Intel(R) Core (TM) i7-4600U CPU @ 2.10GHz, 2694 MHz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s)
Please note this Laptop is outside warranty both with Lenovo and Intel Customer Support also informed me and guided me to this forum. Should you need more details feel free to let me know.
I thank and request your help in resolving screen flickering issue.
Best Wishes,
Mirajkar.

For starters, please better describe what you mean by 'flickers'. People (correctly and incorrectly) use this description for all sorts of issues.

Hi there,
Thanks for quick response. My apology for incorrect description. Let me put in simple words; my Laptop Screen keeps moving up and down. This is happening intermittently and stops. Sometimes it is for long time.
Hope this helps.
Regards,
MMIRAJKAR.

I hate to say it, but that sounds like a hardware problem. As you have described it in terms of frequency over its lifetime, it sounds like you have a component that is slowly failing. This can be related to heat. By this I mean that the component may work properly when relatively cool but begins to act badly when it warms up. The opposite can be a case as well. Can you say that the problem typically doesn't happen until the laptop has been running for a while?
