Hello,
I am not sure if this is where I would report these issues, but this is the best place I could find.
My system
asus x670e-e with amd 7950x cpu
64 Gb gskill ddr5 6000 mem
predator bifrost/arc 770 16G
Samsung g8 neo 32" monitor
HDMI port boots properly as far as I can tel.
display Port black screens at boot up but then will boot into windows or Linux (several distros)
I can use the keyboard to hit keys to communicate with cpu.
I use systemd-boot boot manager.
I get a black screen when connected to display port but not HDMI port.
I am able to see the boot menu with the HDMI port but not when connected to display port.
if I let it wait the time out on boot screen it does load the drivers and the system boots up properly and will display video on the display port.
The issue with this is that I use many different OS's and I cannot see the motherboard boot menu to make my selection. I can do it from memory and get to any operating system that I have loaded, and it appears all video drivers are loaded and working properly.
Also, I can never get into UEFI screen while connected to the display port.
I can if I connect the HDMI port.
So, my guess is there is not proper communication between the card and the monitor on display port.
I have changed cables with a good cable, and the result is not different.
I can change the monitor and it works just fine with an older samsung monitor.
I have also tried every setting in the monitor to no avail.
It always comes up and no video out while booting then comes up after windows or linux loads.
changing the cable and port with to hdmi every boot is not an acceptable work around.
Also, I read some post in here where arc control software seems to not launch, I have a work around for that. If you go into task manager in windows 11 and kill all of the arc processes that are running the program, will launch. Seems that the software it starts about 10 arc control Assistants when it tries to run or install. Killing those processes will a lot the application to start up.
Just my observations. These seem like bugs to me but i do not know the proper place to report them.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
Dave

Hello davfel
Thank you for posting on the Intel Communities. I am sorry you are experiencing no display issues when booting up your system.
I understand that when you are connected through DisplayPort(DP) there is no display at boot and you cannot access BIOS settings. Also, you get display just until the system has gone to the Operating System. Is this an accurate summarization of the issue? I also see that this happens on your Samsung g8 neo 32" monitor but another monitor works fine through DP, correct? What is the model of the monitor that works fine?
In order to further assist, please share with us the following information:

The DP issue is because the monitor has to be set to display port not auto select. If set on auto select the monitor does not respond in time for video to appear before boot. Which is time enough for the uefi screen to pass and go directly into boot.
There are also issues with the fan curve on this card. It seems that your program does not really respond properly. i.e. does not operatel smoothly. the rpms are all over the palce
