confused on what i should do with graphic driver

so i used to be able to run a lot of apps with the intel hd graphic card 5500 but now most of these apps are saying the graphic driver is out of date a few of my friends aren't having this issue but i am and I'm confused on what i should do, should i get my pc replaced as it's a laptop or is it just it an my end issue

Have you tried fully unistalling the current drivers and reinstall the latest drivers?

Id advise the use of the DDU unistaller for clearing all the old driver entries and files

• Boot In the safe mode enviroment
• Run DDU (As Administrator)
• Block windows from updating the card automatically (option available in the settings)
• Select the GPU (in this case INTEL)
• Hit unistall and restart
• Boot Windows in normal mode 
• Install the latest driver for your card

i believe this is the latest driver for your gpu. but double check.

DDU allows you to backup before unistalling (also an option in the settings), do so just in case
