my laptop has i7-6700hq, HD 530, nvidia GTX960m, thunderbolt 3 port, hdmi 1.4 port.
As I understand, HD530 only does 4k 60hz through displayport, or a DP-hdmi 2.0 converter.
How about thunderbolt? Does HD530 output through thunderbolt port at 4k 60hz? is it capable of saturating the thunderbolt port?
How do I know if the HD530 or gtx960m is connected to the thunderbolt port?

The answer is yes, the graphics through the thunderbolt is provided by the processor graphics but since you have an OEM system they may have alter some features and configuration, so your computer manufacturer should be able to give you more detailed information.
