I came to report a bug that occurs in the new dying light, which is another one of those rendering bugs that can be solved (I think), the bug is that the game turns all red, but the bug only occurs in the open world, in closed places the bug does not happen.
https://youtu.be/44biTNIFby4?si=z6GEY2-lLGMsD_42
Here is the link to the video that shows the exact problem, from minute 5 you will be able to see that the bug only occurs in open areas
the game was tested on the latest driver and these are my settings:
CPU: I5 1135g7
GPU: intel iris xe graphics
RAM: 16GB 3200mhz
SSD: 256 NVMe
Link Copied

The same thing happens to me, I looked a little more in the game itself and this happens when the sun is outside, if it rains or it's night, it doesn't look perfect, something similar happened with The Last of Us 2 and it was solved. I hope Intel also solves this.
My configurations are almost the same.
Processor: i7-1165G7
GPU: Intel Iris XE graphics
RAM: 16 GB 3200 MHz
SSD: 256 NVMe
driver tested: 101.7029

I have observed the same issue, I really hope they can fix this like they fixed the last of us part 2. They can do it, but some of them just don't bother.

Same issue for me as well, the whole game is purely surrounded by red on the outside and i can't able to get a grasp to play it properly.
I'm hoping for Techland to fix this issue in the next patch notes and it bugs me alot.
Sucks that this game looks good and and had the most optimized gameplay in a triple-a title this generation

Hi @viituuu,
Thank you for posting in the community, and I also appreciate the interest shown by other members regarding the capabilities of the graphics card. I acknowledge your insights and the improvements observed in other titles, and I truly appreciate this push for us to continue enhancing our drivers.
I’d like to clarify a few points. Based on your post, it seems this issue may be a new bug. Can you confirm if the game was previously running fine on your system before, and only recently started encountering problems? If so, that would help us narrow down whether this is a regression or a compatibility issue.
As we know, Intel Iris Xe graphics are not on par with discrete GPUs, and the game developer has clearly stated the minimum system requirements, which we must consider.
While some users may have successfully run earlier versions or similar titles, this particular release appears to use newer rendering technologies that may be unsupported or unstable on current hardware.
To proceed, I’d like to request the following:
- Your SSU (System Support Utility) log report
- A download link to the game you're referring to
- Any troubleshooting steps you've already tried (as none were mentioned in your initial post)
- If you've tested other graphics driver versions, please let me know if there were any differences in behavior.
This information will help me assess the situation more accurately and potentially initiate contact with our developer to explore whether a driver-level fix is possible. Please note, however, that I cannot make any guarantees at this stage.
Looking forward to your response. For other community members @extraredgumisbest @28gabrielalonzo @Touka_San , please follow this thread if you're experiencing a similar issue. Kindly refrain from jumping in until the original poster responds, so I can keep the conversation organized and address each point effectively.
Thank you for your understanding.
Best regards,
Randy T.

I tested the game at launch and on the latest driver, so there's no way to know if it worked well before, since the visual bug came with the launch.
I downloaded the game through Steam, here is the link: https://store.steampowered.com/app/3008130/Dying_Light_The_Beast/
I tried adjusting the game's lighting, tested various graphics settings, and the problem persisted.
I didn't downgrade the drivers for testing, but some people did and found a driver where the problem doesn't occur, but because it's old it's unstable.
In this video the game is tested with the latest driver and with an old driver where the bug does not exist: https://youtu.be/KyF8rZq48H0?si=MJbOhQkm0eTriIsW
It's basically what happened with The Last of Us Part 2, only less worse, since the bug only occurs in sunlight and in The Last of Us Part 2 it was red all the time, so this is a graphical bug that can be fixed.

Hi @viituuu,
Based on our assessment, the game currently falls outside the system requirements set by the developer, particularly in relation to support for the integrated graphics processor (iGPU) you are using.
As such, we recommend contacting the game developer directly to inquire whether future updates will include support for your iGPU. They will be best positioned to provide guidance on compatibility and any planned enhancements.
Best regards,
Randy T.

intel dont want to fix it as iris xe is old tech to them they have arc now, they don't care and we wasting a lot of time trying to push the envelope of their iris in our free time to run into brick walls
intel iris is capable of a lot but I wont be buying intel next time its Rtx even though even they cant seem to do anything without frame gen these days ...
do you have a link for tthat older unstable driver you used?
I tried 3222 if its even the right one performance was ok but the red mist occured again
