i am unable to connect to my tv

Hi

I am trying to connect my pavilion laptop to my tv by HDMI and it will not detect it i am running windows 10 can any one help

I would try HP support, or Microsoft support for this issue.

But, some basic questions:

• Is the TV set for HDMI input? If the TV has more than one HDMI input, are you using the correct one?
• Is the laptop set to output to the HDMI port? This is usually accomplished by a function key sequence.
• Does the TV display "no signal" when you have verified the two questions above?
• What graphics do you have? If you do not know, provide the complete processor model number.

Thanks for the help i ran all the software updates for windows and my laptop to find out it is the tv that is the problem.
