I have HP 1000 Notebook PC with following specs :
Intel(R) Core(TM) i3-2370M CPU @ 2.40GHz (4 CPUs), ~2.4GHz
Memory: 4096MB RAM
HD 3000 mobile grapics
my laptop shows dedicated memory 64 mb and shared system memory 1632
Total available graphics memory 1696
how come it is sharing almost 1.6 gb of my primary storage neither i did changes in BIOS , also in case of sharing it should share 512 mb or 1 gb but how come 1.6 gb
i need to know this?? is it good or bad..

Hi Ahsan, the amount of memory used for graphics may be a fixed amount or may vary up to a maximum. In the end it depends how this was implemented by your computer manufacturer.

so does HD graphics 3000 with my specs would be able to pick heavy games. If not what would be the alternatives. Because i usually stuck with FPS..

Hi Ahsan,
Based on the link shared by Joe, the graphics controller in your system can go up to that amount of Video memory the system can handle or take but it does not necessarily means it will reach that since depends on many things such as the game settings, and system resources.
It is important to say that video memory will sure help on video performance but the most important thing is video processing which is directly on the graphics controller. You may find that the system can run certain heavy games and others depending on the game settings may not run.
