Hello Intel Support Team,
I am experiencing repeated system crashes related to the Intel Arc graphics driver while playing certain games. The crashes are consistent and appear to be triggered during heavy loading or gameplay transitions.
System Specifications:
GPU: Intel Arc B580
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600
Motherboard: MSI B550M-A PRO
RAM: 16GB (8GB + 8GB Dual Channel, rated 3200 MHz – currently running at default JEDEC speed for stability testing)
Storage: OSCOO ON900 512GB NVMe SSD
PSU: TB-550
Operating System: Windows 11 x64 (Build 26200)
Problem Description:
The system crashes with a Blue Screen of Death showing:
Stop Code: DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
Faulting Module: igdkmdn64.sys
(Identified as Intel Graphics Kernel Mode Driver)
Affected Games:
• EA Sports FC 26 – Crash occurs during loading screen or when entering a match
• Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered – Crash occurs during gameplay or scene transitions
• Battle Field 6-REDSEC-Crash occurs during Matchmaking and Gameplay With Same BSOD
And a Strong Beep Sound .
Important Observations:
• Other games run normally without crashes
*Dying Light The Beast, Mafia The Old Country, The First Bersaker Khazan, Uncharted Thief Collection.
• GPU temperature remains within safe limits (~76°C max observed)
• Crash dump analysis consistently points to igdkmdn64.sys
• Issue seems to occur during high GPU memory or shader load situations
Troubleshooting Already Attempted:
• Clean GPU driver removal using DDU in Safe Mode
• Tested multiple Intel Arc driver versions (latest and older WHQL releases)
•Currently Using Driver to prevent Crashes "32.0.101.8425 (WHQL Certified)"
• Latest Drivers that occurs The Same BSOD in those specific mentioned games"32.0.101.8509 (WHQL Certified) , 32.0.101.8531" And the Latest Driver 32.0.101.8626 (WHQL Certified) Date 3/17/2026 .
• Disabled XMP and ran RAM at default speed
• Forced PCIe slot link speed to Gen3
• Updated AMD chipset drivers
• Verified Windows integrity using SFC and DISM
• Disabled Hardware Accelerated GPU Scheduling
• Reset shader cache / game settings folders
• Reinstalled affected games
• Tested reduced GPU power limits
Despite all these steps, crashes still occur only in specific titles.
Request:
Please investigate potential Intel Arc driver compatibility issues related to igdkmdn64.sys, especially under high shader compilation or GPU memory load scenarios.
Despite of using 32.0.101.8425 (WHQL Certified) drivers certainly having Game crashes Because of out dated GPU Driver
Due to the graphics driver I'm currently using, I can't take advantage of the override for 4x frame Gen in normal games. On the other hand, if I update to the latest driver, it causes my system to crash and shows a blue screen of death in certain games.
Attachments included:
• BSOD photos
• BIOS configuration screenshots
• Crash dump analysis (WhoCrashed)
• Troubleshooting stage photos

Hello SenJid,
As a next step, please confirm that your system BIOS is fully up to date, as outdated BIOS versions can contribute to compatibility issues.
Additionally, based on the information provided, this may be a power compatibility issue, as your current PSU does not meet the minimum requirements for the graphics card. This requirement is outlined in the Intel® Arc™ Graphics – Desktop Quick Start Guide, which details the recommended system and power specifications.
If possible, we recommend testing the system with a different PSU that meets or exceeds the minimum power requirements to help determine whether this resolves the issue.

Dear Robin G,
Thank you for your response and for your efforts in reproducing the issue
Please find the detailed information below regarding the crash behavior
The crashes are not tied to a specific scene but they usually occur during active gameplay including matches and co-op
The game typically runs for around 10–15 minutes before crashing
Regarding background applications only essential applications are running such as
Game launcher EA App
Basic system processes
Occasionally Discord for communication
In EA FC 26 while using the latest driver 32.0.101.8626 WHQL Certified I attempted multiple troubleshooting steps
Performed a clean driver reinstall using DDU
Launched the game in windowed mode at auto 720p
Compiled shaders
Initially did not change display or graphics settings
Under these conditions the game starts and runs normally however after playing a few matches and then adjusting display and graphics settings the crashes begin to occur frequently making the game unplayable
On the other hand with driver version 32.0.101.8425 I am able to play the game more smoothly however there are still minor issues such as 1% low drops and occasional stuttering but no BSOD crashes
Additionally I reached out to the Intel Insiders Community Discord regarding this issue based on the discussion it was suggested that the problem might be related to compatibility or system level overhead some users also suggested switching to Linux although I have not attempted that
For reference while playing at 1080p with high settings on driver 32.0.101.8425 the GPU power usage typically ranges between 80–100 watts
Based on these observations the issue appears to be more prominent with the latest driver version
please try to reproduce the crash scenario while using a 550 watt PSU configuration as I suspect that power delivery behavior may be contributing to the issue under certain conditions
Please let me know if you require any further logs tests or specific steps from my side to help isolate the issue
Thank you for your continued support

Hello SenJid,
Thank you for your detailed response and for the time you’ve taken to investigate and document the behavior you are experiencing. We appreciate the thorough information you provided regarding the crash scenarios, driver comparisons, and troubleshooting steps already performed.
We’re glad to know that you are able to play the game using standard game and graphics settings, particularly with driver version 32.0.101.8425. However, we understand that FPS stability, including 1% low drops and stuttering, remains a concern and still requires further analysis.
To further assess the FPS performance and isolate the cause of these drops, we kindly request that you provide three (3) CapFrameX logs for review. Please ensure that:
- Each capture runs for a minimum of 3 minutes
- The game is played under consistent conditions during each capture
Additionally, please attach screenshots or photos of your in-game graphics and display settings used during the CapFrameX recordings for reference.
Regarding your request to test the graphics card using a 550W PSU, please note that this configuration is not recommended by Intel, as it may negatively impact hardware functionality and could potentially lead to more serious system issues. For safety and reliability reasons, we advise adhering to the recommended power supply specifications.
Once we receive the requested CapFrameX logs and settings screenshots, we will thoroughly analyze the data and continue assisting you with further troubleshooting as needed.
Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
Best regards,
Brenz L.

Thank you for your detailed response and guidance
I understand your request regarding the CapFrameX logs and I will provide the required three captures along with the corresponding in game graphics and display settings under consistent conditions
However I would like to kindly clarify that while FPS drops and 1 percent low stuttering are present my primary concern remains the BSOD crashes occurring on newer driver versions after 32.0.101.8425
The system remains fully stable on driver 8425 but consistently crashes on all newer drivers across multiple games which suggests a driver level instability rather than a performance only issue
I will proceed with capturing the CapFrameX logs as requested but I would also appreciate it if the BSOD issue could continue to be investigated in parallel as it significantly impacts usability
Please let me know if there are any specific scenarios or settings you would like me to focus on during the capture process
Thank you for your continued support

Thank you for your continued support and for sharing the PSU recommendations.
We would like to clarify that our full system power consumption does not reach 550W under load. However, to properly rule out any PSU-related concerns, we conducted additional testing using a higher-capacity PSU.
For testing purposes only, we temporarily used a branded Corsair CX650 (650W) PSU, which we arranged from a workshop. This was not a permanent upgrade but solely intended to validate whether PSU capacity was a factor in the issue.
Despite using this 650W PSU that meets Intel’s recommended specifications, the system continued to experience the same crashes under identical conditions.
In addition, we tested under reduced power scenarios (including undervolting and limiting GPU power draw). If the issue were power-related, stability should have improved under these conditions. However, the crashes persist.
We have also observed that:
- The issue is consistently reproducible on newer driver versions
- Older driver versions remain stable on the same hardware and PSU setup
- There are no typical PSU failure symptoms (such as sudden shutdowns or power loss)
Based on these observations, it appears that the issue is unlikely to be related to PSU capacity or power delivery.
We kindly request a deeper investigation into potential driver-related issues or compatibility concerns.
We appreciate your support and look forward to your guidance.

Dear Robin G
Greetings
Thank you for your continued support and investigation
I would like to share an important observation regarding the issue
When I use the older driver version 32.0.101.8425 my system runs completely stable and I do not experience any crashes in any games including EA FC 26 Mafia The Old Country The Last of Us Part I and Marvel’s Spider Man Remastered
However after driver version 32.0.101.8425 every newer driver release I have tested results in the same BSOD crashes including the latest version 32.0.101.8626 WHQL Certified
This behavior is consistent and reproducible on my system across multiple driver versions after 8425
The crashes occur across multiple games especially under higher graphics settings and load and are not limited to a single title
It is also important to highlight that in some games such as EA FC 26 and Marvel’s Spider Man Remastered there is no option for XeSS or frame generation and I am not using any such features in these titles yet the crashes still occur which indicates that the issue is not limited to frame generation or upscaling features alone
I have also consulted with customer support internally and after reviewing the case they suggested proceeding with a warranty claim however this does not seem logical to me because if it were a hardware issue the crashes should also occur on the older driver which is not the case as my system remains fully stable on driver 8425
Additionally I have tested the system using a Corsair CX650W power supply and the issue still persists which indicates that the problem is not related to PSU capacity or power delivery since my system power usage is well within limits
Based on these observations I am confident that this is a driver related instability issue which appears to affect specific system configurations possibly related to newer DirectX features and driver level optimizations
In my typical usage scenario I run games at 1080p resolution with ultra or maximum graphics presets and when available I enable frame generation upscaling and other advanced features both from in game settings and from the Intel software such as frame generation override and latency boost profiles
For reproduction I would recommend testing under similar conditions such as 1080p resolution with ultra preset and high GPU load as the issue seems to appear more consistently in this scenario
If you would like to investigate this issue further I am willing to fully cooperate and can provide detailed screenshots recordings and step by step reproduction data across the affected games to help identify the root cause
I kindly request you to escalate this case to the appropriate driver or engineering team for further investigation so that this instability can be properly addressed
Please let me know if you need any additional logs test cases or specific reproduction steps from my side
Thank you for your support and understanding

Hello SenJid,
Thank you for your continued cooperation.
Upon reviewing the crash dump again, it is possible that the GPU itself may be faulty. However, before proceeding further, we would like to try one last troubleshooting step as a final measure.
If possible, we recommend performing a clean installation of the operating system. This helps rule out any underlying OS‑level corruption or software conflicts that could be contributing to the issue.
Additionally, please confirm the following detail about your graphics card:
- Is your Intel® Arc GPU an Intel Limited Edition (LE) model, or is it a branded/OEM card from a system manufacturer?
For your reference, we have also tested a comparable setup for nearly one hour without encountering any issues, which is why we want to ensure all software‑related possibilities have been eliminated before moving forward.
Once you have completed the clean OS installation (if feasible), or once you’ve confirmed the GPU model information, please let us know. We will then coordinate further with our internal team to determine the best next steps and provide you with the most appropriate support.
Thank you, and we look forward to your update.
Best regards,

Dear Brenz L
Thank you for your continued support and guidance throughout this process
I would like to inform you that after performing a clean installation of Windows I proceeded with testing using the Intel driver version 32.0.101.8629 before installing any other additional software
With this driver the system is running completely stable and I have not experienced any BSOD crashes so far and everything appears to be functioning properly
I have also tested some of the previously affected games including Marvel’s Spider Man 2 and Mafia The Old Country and they are running normally without any immediate crash issues although I have not yet completed extended benchmarking on all titles
Based on my initial testing the system behavior appears stable with this driver version
Additionally I would like to confirm that my graphics card is a branded model Gunnir Intel Arc B580 Index 12G and not an Intel Limited Edition model
If you would like me to proceed with further testing using the newer driver version 32.0.101.8626 on the same clean setup I can do so and provide detailed feedback and results
Please let me know how you would like me to proceed further
Thank you again for your time and support and I appreciate your efforts in investigating this issue

Hello SenJid,
Thank you for the detailed update and for performing the clean Windows installation to test the driver stability. We appreciate your thorough testing and feedback.
Based on your findings with the clean installation and Intel driver version 32.0.101.8629 showing stable performance, it appears that the previous BSOD issues were likely caused by an OS-level conflict rather than a driver-specific problem. Your testing with Marvel's Spider Man 2 and Mafia The Old Country running normally further confirms this assessment.
We also appreciate you clarifying that your graphics card is a Gunnir Intel Arc B580 Index 12G model.
Since your system is now running stable and the issue appears resolved, we will proceed with closing this case. For any future concerns, please submit a new support request as this thread will no longer be monitored after closure.
Thank you for your patience and cooperation throughout this process.
Sincerely,
JeanetteC.
