I have
intel nuc 6i5syk with i5 6260u
mini DP - mini DP and mini DP - DP cables
LG 31mu97 monitor which is 4096 x 2160p.
after installing win10 x 64 the monitor work well with 3840 x 2160 at 64Hz
but after installing iris 540 driver, the monitor shows no signal.
If I turn off monitor's DP1.2 option, the monitor can work with 4096 x 2160 at 30Hz with self-setting resolution.
How can I get it work with 4096 x 2160 at 60 Hz? I tried several different versions driver which does not solve the problem.
Thank you

According to https://ark.intel.com/products/91160/Intel-Core-i5-6260U-Processor-4M-Cache-up-to-2_90-GHz Intel® Core™ i5-6260U Processor (4M Cache, up to 2.90 GHz) Product Specifications it should work theoretically.
Did you install the brand new monitor driver ?

Thank you for replying. I tried the newest 4849 graphic driver and several older drivers, such as 4352(https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/graphics-driver-bug-reporting/topic/609602 NUC6i5SYH displayport flickering problem ), but no one was working in my nuc.

Milky_Way: Perfect, thank you very much for letting us know that information. We will do further research on this matter, as soon as I get any updates I will post all the details on this thread.
Just to make sure, which is the exact resolution you are trying to achieve and which video ports are you using?
Are you using adapters or converters?
Additionally, on the link below you will find the resolutions supported depending on the video port you are using, page 26 and 27:
Any questions, please let me know.

Thank you for your notification. Sorry, just see the following information.
Just to make sure, which is the exact resolution you are trying to achieve and which video ports are you using?
- 4096 x 2160 @60Hz via miniDP - miniDP cable and miniDP - DP cable
Are you using adapters or converters?
- no, I'm using miniDP - miniDP cable and miniDP - DP cable
Additionally, on the link below you will find the resolutions supported depending on the video port you are using, page 26 and 27:
- Yep, I see on page 27, "The maximum supported resolution is 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz, 30bpp."
but in my case, the computer cannot find the monitor once graphic driver is installed via miniDP - miniDP cable which is working at 3840 x 2160 @ 64 Hz before that.
(are their output data rate same, between 3840 x 2160 @ 64 H and 4096 x 2160 @ 60 H)
Also, Alar K. in his case, the computer can find the monitor and able to output signal with 4096 x 2160 @ 60 H (but with flickering via mDP-DP cable, https://software.intel.com/en-us/forums/graphics-driver-bug-reporting/topic/609602 NUC6i5SYH displayport flickering problem )

hi Milky_Way
I am not so sure if I am understanding this issue correctly, as you said the NUC Kit NUC6i[x]SY https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/boardsandkits/NUC6i5SYB_NUC6i3SYB_TechProdSpec.pdf https://www.intel.com/content/dam/support/us/en/documents/boardsandkits/NUC6i5SYB_NUC6i3SYB_TechProdSpec.pdf supports a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz, 30bpp when using the DP port.
The latest driver available is version 4877 and available for download here: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/26260/NUCs-Intel-HD-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10-for-Intel-NUC-Kit-NUC6i-x-SY?product=89190 Download Intel® HD Graphics Driver for Windows® 10 for Intel® NUC Kit NUC6i[x]SY
Can you please provide me with the Dxdiag log so that I can check your system? Here is how you can generate the file: Run "dxdiag" and press OK, In the window that has now appeared choose "Save all information". After you've saved the file, please attach it to a new community post.
Thanks,
Ronny G

Hi Ronny,
Thank you for replying, I tried the newest 4877 driver which is not working for me, too. Here is the Dxdiag report.
Also, yep you are right, as the pdf shows, NUC Kit NUC6i[x]SY supports a maximum resolution of 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz, 30bpp when using the DP port.
1. The monitor should work well at 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz, 30bpp when using the DP port. But currently, it stops working (no signal) with graphic driver.
2. some people shows that NUC 6i5SYH + LG 31MU97 can work at 4096 x 2160 @ 60Hz when using the DP port (unstable, but at least, it's working)

Hi Chang,
Apologies for the late reply, I was out of the office.
I have a similar set up (different TV) and it can do 3840 x 2160 @ 60 Hz using the DP port with the latest Graphics Driver.
This makes me believe that there could be an issue when using this combination, I also looked up on the LG* website and found the following information: http://www.lg.com/us/support/products/documents/31MU97%20Spec%20Sheet.pdf it seems that they have also done some testing and therefore the list of supported Graphics Cards. Have you checked with LG* support to check on any compatibility issue or perhaps newer firmware update?

Hi Alberto,
Sorry I was away for several weeks and I just got a new PC which is i5 8600K + ASUS ROG STRIX Z370-I GAMING. The issue is same, once the graphic driver is installed, the monitor shows no signal.
I also sent the question to LG and waiting the answer.
