I login in ff14. There are many charactor is in same area(about 142 charators). In Limsa Lominsa, it is normally at 21:00 ~ 0:00 in Japan. Fps goes down 44. I go to other area(There are one charator only). Fps goes up 59 fps. I return to crowed area. Fps goes down 44. I change shadows setting blow:

1.open system settings
2.open graphic settings
3.change shadows quality

Use low-detail models on shadows:enable
Shadow Resolution:1024
Shadow Cascading:best
Shadow Softening:strone

Shadows
Self: Show
Party Members: Hide
Other NPCs: Hide
Enemies: Hide

Fps goes up 59fps.
I use Intel arc a750 8gb and 2560*1440 display.

I change other settinges in graphics setting in ff14. Fps does not goes down at all.

P.S I use dxvk with ff14. Fps keep 60fps.

Hello matinekonya,

Thank you for posting on the Intel️® communities. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing issues playing FINAL FANTASY XIV.

In order to have a better understanding of your issue, please provide me with the following:

  • Share a screenshot with the game video setting you have set.
  • Have you tried checking if the issue can be replicated in a different Area but with the same characters (142)?
  • If it is possible, recording a video showing the error would be ideal.
  • What distribution service did you get the game from (for example Steam / Origin / Epic / XboxGamePass / UbisoftConnect)?
  • To gather information about your system, such as Operating System Built, Driver, and BIOS versions; please, create a report using the Intel®️ System Support Utility (Intel®️ SSU).
    • Open the application and click "Scan" to see the system and device information. By default, Intel®️ SSU will take you to the "Summary View."
    • Click on the menu where it says: "Summary" to change it to "Detailed View."
    • To save your scan: click "Next"; then "Save."

Best regards,

Hello matinekonya,

We appreciate your response.

Perform a clean installation of the latest production driver, 31.0.101.4146.  Sometimes corrupted files from previous installations of drivers can linger on a system which can cause driver updates to not work as expected.

Also, Could you try changing the game language to English and provide us with the video settings screenshots once again?

Hello matinekonya,

We appreciate your patience.

We would like to inform you that we are already working on improving performance for this DX11 title (bug ID 18025525703); however, since this issue is very specific (only when certain conditions are met), it may not be picked up by the debug team.

We recommend you report it to the game developer as well since it might be an app issue.

We will now close the case. If you need additional information, please submit a new question, as this thread will no longer be monitored.

Best regards,

Jean O.
