My computer suddenly stopped connecting to HDMI.

It doesn't even recognize the connection.

Have tried to update drivers, roll back drivers, disable and enable the device and nothing works.

I am a teacher and use my smartboard all the time and this is very aggravating

Please help

Have you tried the simple things, like replacing the HDNI cable? [this happens more often that you would think]

Have you tried connecting a different output device (a simple monitor)?

Yes. I've switched cables. I've also tried other computers on the same cable and monitor which work.

Tried other monitors And projectors.

My computer is not recognising the any HDMI devices

In order to help you better I would like to gather more information about the configuration you have in the computer. Please attach to this thread the .txt file the Intel System Support Utility will generate through:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/25293/Intel-System-Support-Utility

To attach a file, you must click •Use Advanced Editor" on the upper right hand corner of the response box, then the "attach" option will appear on the bottom right hand corner of the response box.

Hello ydr770,

Thank you your response.

I was taking a look to the report that you attached to us, we really appreciate it.

I was able to notice that your OEM device has an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-7500U CPU that uses Intel® HD Graphics 620. The drivers currently installed on your machine are the OEM Driver Version: "22.20.16.4815" which seems to be out of date.

You can find the latest generic drivers for your graphics controller here:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27484/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-65-?product=96551 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27484/Graphics-Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-65-?product=96551

Feel free to go ahead and download our .exe file in order to update the generic drivers and monitor the results.

If by any chance the issue persists I strongly recommend you to contact the manufacturer of you equipment due to the fact that their drivers are customized for your machine while on the other hand, our drivers are generic.

A BIOS update could be recommended as well depending on the results of the performance on their drivers, however that type of support will be available only through them at:

https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/ https://support.lenovo.com/us/en/

Hope this helps,

Best Regards,

Diego S.
