After installing the latest drivers from Intel HD Graphics 4000 is no longer output the picture on TV connected via HDMI. When removing intel driver and install a standard driver windows 7 TV through HDMI works in clone mode desktop. If start the installation of the latest drivers from Intel after installation and before rebooting the PC it works perfectly - there is an image on the TV, it can be configured as a clone mode and the extended desktop mode, but after rebooting the image on the TV disappears. How to make the TV displays the image after restart the PC with the latest drivers Intel HD Graphics 4000?

CPU - core i5 3570K

MotherBoard - Gigabyte Z77-DS3H

Win 7 64bit

No discrete graphics card

TV - Philips 32PFL8404H

I am also having the exact same issues as everyone else. HP G62-255DX.

1. Computer recognizes TV is plugged in in hardware.

2. TV doesn't receive input because HDMI port isn't putting out.

Has anyone devised a reliable fix?

I have the same problem and am looking for a fix.

Seems like this has been going on for far too long.

Asus P8Z77 WS motherboard

AMD 7880 graphics card

Intel HD 4000 graphics on MB

works fine extended, will not allow me to clone it.

Intel control panel Multiple Displays shows Operating mode = single display

Any idea how to fix this so I can clone again?

Does Intel ever look at these questions?

I have not seen a problem fixed yet.

The Intel engineering department is aware of this thread and they are currently working to get this issue resolved. I still do not have an estimate time of resolution but you can keep checking this post for updates.

This problem has been documented for a full year.

Is it even in the plan to fix it, if so when is that date?

If it is not, I will sell my computer and get one that does not use Intel.

I would also like to know too......

My external TV with HDMI worked fine until I changed my i3 Processor to an i7. Since that I have no picture on the externel TV (LG). It is only flickering al little. When I deinstall HD4000 (=> VGA nativ driver) the TV shows a picture but with low resolution. As soon I install the HD4000 driver => no TV pciture.

I have the same problem with the HD4000 Graphics chipset. It worked fine for a couple of weeks but when i disconnected the system from my television, used it on another television and try to reconnect it some time later to the original television it stopped working.

The problem is the system is a Gigabyte Brix that has everything integrated. Swaping videocards doesn't work.

I have reinstalled Windows 7 and everything works fine until i reinstall the HD 4000 driver. Without the driver XBMC will not function and i can't watch movies.

When i connected to the pc using teamviewer i can see the desktop and could rollback the driver after which the pc would show an image on the television.

I am now waiting for a mini displayport to HDMI adapter in the hopes this will fix things after that i will try to install Ubuntu to see if that could be a solution.

But because this problem is known for almost a year i would have expected Intel would have come up with a solution. I am affraid however that they are not going to provide a solution because the systems with this chipset will all be obsolete if they wait long enough.

In the meanwhile i left with a very expensive presse papier.

To follow up on my problems and in the hopes it helps others with a Gigabyte BRIX system with this problem, here's how i solved my problem.

Lukily the Gigabyte BRIX has a HDMI and a mini Displayport connection. After i installed a mini DP to HDMI converter i was able to start up my system and install the Intel driver for the HD 4000 graphicscard. After that everything worked like a charm.

Are you able to disable the mini DP port in the BIOS? If you are, that should make the HDMI port the default option for video, since it will be the only available video device on the board.

Hello, I have exactly the same problem with two different PC (HDMI or DVI) but the VGA works well. My screen a philips 236V is not detected on neither. Yet the screen is detected with my chromebook (Samsung), an Android tablet with HDMI port mini and an Nvidia graphics card of the PC of my little brother.

I tested both HDMI and DVI outputs of my two screens with two other screens (than philips 236V) : LG (DVI input) and a Blaupunkt TV (HDMI input) no problem. I precise that I made the most recent intel update on my two PCs and upon reboot, screen indicating "Caution check cable connection".

Hello, I have pretty same problem, Samsung S23C350 screen connected to ASUS X450C with Intel HD4000 video via HDMI works right until Windows won't load. Then screen looses signal and become unrecognizable by Windows.

I tried to uninstall Intel drivers and it works, but of course it's not possible to use default drivers as everything is slow like hell.

Could you please take a look at this, many people have the same troubles.

Thanks,

Alex

I am really sorry you are having these problems but let me give some troubleshooting steps:

  1. Please uninstall the current graphics driver and download the latest for the 3rd and 4th generation processors at this link:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23885&lang=eng&ProdId=3712 https://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?DwnldID=23885&lang=eng&ProdId=3712

If you have problems during the installation, try the steps mentioned here:

/docs/DOC-22542 https://communities.intel.com/docs/DOC-22542

  1. Update your computer BIOS using the one your Computer Manufacture provides.
  2. Test a different HDMI cable (higher quality).
  3. Try also installing the monitor drivers.
  4. If you have another video card connected to the computer, try disconnecting it during this process.

Same problem here... Lost two days finding out what the problem is with my computer, went through a total windows 7 re-install to realize it was a graphics driver related problem. Looks like it's been one year and no fix, as the latest intel graphics driver doesnt fix this HDMI problem. It's a shame, cause Intel is the world biggest processor and chipset manufacturer.

Someone found a workaround (kinda work, not for everyone...) here :

Hey there,

I got the same problem. My Laptop recognizes the monitors (I tried several different ones and several cables, e.g. Samsung Syncmaster, LG TV, Marantz AV receiver via HDMI) but there is no picture. I updated my BIOS, installed the latest drivers etc. but nothing works. That's sad when you bought your Laptop to watch BRs and wanted to use more than one monitor...

Please try different HDMI cables (High Quality) and make sure you use a direct connection 9 (no video adapters).

Hi people of Intel!

I followed this problem of yours for a years now.

How long are you going to do this? can't you honestly tell people "it just doesn't work" and stop spending users time and energy?

Is there anybody here who managed to get this to work by the help of Intel?

Anybody?

And kevin_intel please, do not delete this post (again)!

Hi same problem here

question is will you do something about it? cause i see there are no improvements

and behavior of system is if i plug in monitor through miniHDMI after boot of win7 it will work normaly, but if i attach monitor before or during booting monitor will do nothing only saying

there is no HDMI signal, i tried your latest drivers, lenovo drivers 2 type really old one and from 2013 nothing helps.

Shame is that on linux it work only after 10 pug-in plug-out.

And maybe it is something with miniHDMI cause my friends have same LG 24MP55 IPS monitors but they have i5 processor and i7 but different type, but they are lenovo as well.

Please do something about it.

Thanks
