Good evening,
I do have a problem with the newest driver 5444 with my Intel Arc System.
I can not activate variable refresh rate neither under Intel ARC Control Center / Windows Graphics Settings.
It does work for the internal display of my laptop but not for my external monitor.
It did work with an really old driver, the display does support Freesync and its also working fine with my XBOX Series X so I assume its a driver problem.
I just hope you can fix it for the next driver release.
Attached you can find the Intel SSU Report and my System Overview from AIDA64 if you need anything else just let me know.
With best regards,
JJH

Please use the USB-C cable that came with the monitor and connect it to one of the USB-C ports on the right side of the laptop. This connection then uses the DisplayPort protocol and then also supports VESA Adaptive Sync.

Hi
Please check How to Enable Variable Refresh Rate and verify if the settings are missing from Windows settings
Also please try using different DP cables and try installing an older driver version like 31.0.0.101.5379 or .5330 and check if the issue persists. You can also consult this page: Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) 'Not Supported' in Intel® Arc™ Control

I neglected to mention, please take a look at this link: https://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/download/785597/intel-arc-iris-xe-graphics-windows.html. Intel has released a new driver update that may assist in resolving Variable Refresh Rate issues.
