ARC A310 - Windows - Capture - Audio Not Recorded

Hi,

Driver: 32.0.101.6127

WHQL Certified Driver Updates: ON

Processor: Intel i7-14700

Motherboard: Dell OptiPlex SFF Plus 7020

RAM: 16GBytes

OS: Windows 11 24H2

GPU: Intel ARC A310 Sparkle

Power supply: Standard Dell

I tried to record (capture) video stream with audio coming from my Bluetooth Sony WH-CH520, with Webex, by enabling Intel's Virtual Camera. The camera worked fine, no issue. I can see/stream the webcam, which is Logi C615 HD WebCam.

The Webex session is using the headphone sound and microphone, as well as the virtual camera.

From Intel ARC software, I've tried selecting:

Audio Device: System Default

Microphone: System Default

AND

Audio Device: Headphones (2-WH-CH520)

Microphone: Headset (2-WH-CH520)

In both configuration, the capture videos doesn't record my audio. There is audio channel recorded, but without any sound.

My other configuration from the ARC software:

Resolution: 1080p (FHD)

Frame Rate: 30 FPS

Codec: AVC

Video Bitrate: 5,000 Kbps (default)

Audio Bitrate: 64 Kbps

Audio Volume: 100%

Microphone Volume: 100%

Microphone Volume at Settings, also 100%.

I used to record my video stream but using a different machine. Also using Webex, broadcasting the same Webcam (of course not using the Intel's Virtual Camera), sound and microphone, with Radeon GPU. I could record the video and audio flawlessly. So no issue for the Webex and the recording software to use the same devices (sound, microphone and webcam).

I guess no one bother to test since no more online classes?!

Hi WangMat81,

Thank you for posting in the Community!

Apologies for the delayed response. Try the following steps:

1. Click on the sound icon in the taskbar.

2. Above the volume bar, there should be an audio device listed.

3. Clicking on the drop-down list should show all the available audio devices that can be selected.

4. Select the preferred device by left-clicking on it.

Best regards,

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. I already select the headphone as my default from the taskbar/Settings. Never mind, I was in hurry before, I expect about the same performance between the ARC software and AMD software (in my previous machine) for recording screen. I am now happily using OBS software.

Keep updating the software. One day I might come back to the ARC software for the same purpose.
