The problem I'm experiencing is quite strange and doesn't happen all the time. When I'm playing games and alt-tabbing to another program (like Discord or Google Chrome), the screen freezes but the PC continues running normally. I can still hear game audio or talk with friends on discord but the display stays frozen. This issue did not occur with my previous GPU.
The only temporary fix is to unplug the HDMI cable and plug it back in. There are no errors in Event Viewer when this happens.
What I’ve Tried So Far:
Formatting the system
Using DDU to clean install GPU drivers
Installing older GPU drivers
Uninstalling third-party software
Disabling GPU hardware acceleration in apps
Using borderless windowed mode in games
Unplugging the HDMI hub and connecting directly

Hello ClueBottle,
Thank you for posting in Intel Communities.
To get a better understanding of the issue and be able to provide an effective recommendation, please provide the missing key information here:
1) Is the issue present on the initial usage of the Intel Arc B580 LE or has it worked and the issue only started recently?
2) What game(s) are affected with this issue?
3) Share your game settings screenshots.
4) Display/monitor make and model.
5) What version(s) of graphics drivers has been tested with the issue?
6) Share your system configuration so I can fully check and provide you with an accurate fix. This could be possible by downloading the Intel® System Support Utility for Windows* software. When the download is complete, launch SSU.exe.
- Scan: Check the box Everything.
- Click Scan.
- Review: When finished scanning, click Next.
- Click Save. *Attach the SSU log file as you reply.
I will wait for your reply.
Best regards,
JeanetteC.

Hey there JeanetteC,
Sorry for the late response, but here’s my answer:
- The issue only started recently. It was working fine initially, but the problem began occurring after some time.
- The issue affects the following games, which are the ones I play the most and have tested: Outlast Trials, Fortnite, Helldivers 2.
- In the games I play, I use the Ultra preset (no ray tracing).
- Monitor: Samsung C24F390FHUXEN (60Hz)
- I have tested the following driver versions:
• 32.0.101.6734
• 32.0.101.6737
• 32.0.101.6790 - Here’s my system configuration:
• CPU: Intel Core i5-14400F
• GPU: Intel Arc B580 LE
• RAM: 32GB (2x16GB) Corsair VENGEANCE® DDR5 6000MT/s CL30
• Motherboard: MSI MAG B760 TOMAHAWK WIFI
• Storage: Samsung 990 EVO SSD 2TB M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0
• PSU: Corsair TX750M 750W - Additional Note:
After enabling V-Sync and locking the FPS to 60 (the refresh rate of my monitor), the issue seems to be resolved.

Hello ClueBottle,
It's good to know that you were able to resolve the issue by enabling V-Sync and locking the FPS to 60 (the refresh rate of my monitor). For this said, I will proceed in closing this thread. Should you need assistance in the future, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.
Sincerely,
JeanetteC.

Interesting. I wonder if this might be related to how the Intel Arc GPU handles alt-tabbing in fullscreen vs. borderless. Some users reported improvements by disabling Fullscreen Optimizations via the game's .exe properties. Might be worth a try if you haven't yet.
