I purchased two Intel Arc B580 cards, the Challenger OC from ASRock and the Titan OC from Sparkle. Both, even with the latest drivers installed, exhibit the same issue, so it appears to be an Intel problem. When I boot my PC with two monitors connected (one via DisplayPort and one via HDMI), the GPU enters safe mode, the fans ramp up to full speed and there is no video output. If I boot with only one monitor and connect the second afterward, everything works normally. I need a fix for this.

Hi Kaelzus,
Thank you for posting in our Community and for providing a clear description of the issue you're experiencing with your Intel Arc B580 GPUs. It’s certainly unusual behavior that both the ASRock Challenger OC and Sparkle Titan OC variants exhibit the same issue, especially with the latest drivers installed. Based on your description, this could potentially point to a driver-level issue, firmware/BIOS compatibility, or a low-level initialization conflict during POST when multiple displays are connected.
- Could you share the exact graphics driver version you have currently installed?
- Make/model and resolution/refresh rate of both displays. Which display is connected to HDMI and which to DisplayPort? Have you tried swapping ports (i.e., HDMI → DP, DP → HDMI) to see if the issue persists or behaves differently?
- If you have done any other tests, please let me know the details so we don't cover the same ground twice.
I'd like to delve deeper and verify specifics like the graphics models, precise driver versions, and any system errors. Utilizing the Intel SSU tool will enable me to collect detailed information about your system setup, which could aid in identifying the underlying cause of this issue.
Additionally, to better understand your display environment, I would also like to review an EDID report. Please follow these steps to generate EDID analysis using the Intel® Graphics Command Center (IGCC): If IGCC is not yet installed on the Windows system, download and install the "Intel® Graphics Command Center" from the Microsoft Store.
Once installed, launch the Intel® Graphics Command Center (IGCC) software.
On the left side of the app, click on "Support" and then on top, click "System Diagnostic"
To the right, click on "Generate Report," and you will be prompted to save it as a .txt file.
Save the report, which can be used for analysis.
Have a nice day!
Best regards,
