Bug windows 11 external screen resolution is lower than its capacity - Dell Vostro 3500 and Intel® I

Since the last updates, my Dell Vostro 3500 laptop is no longer showing the maximum resolution option on my Dell P2418D external monitor, which should be 2560x1440p, 60Hz. The maximum you can select is 1920x1080p, 60Hz.

I checked all drivers and they are all up to date as well as all windows and direct x updates as well.

I tested the monitor on another computer and it worked normally at the maximum resolution of 2560x1440p, 60Hz.

I changed the HDMI cable and the problem persists. I tested the cable on another computer and it worked normally at full resolution.

I already entered the device manager, looked for video adapter updates, disabled and re-enabled the driver, but the problem persists.

I've already checked for updates to the monitor driver, and it's also up to date.

I formatted the notebook, reinstalled Windows 11 and it still has the problem.

The notebook is installed with the following configurations:

- 11th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-1135G7 @ 2.40GHz 2.42GHz

- Windows 11 Pro (version 22H2)

- Intel® Iris® Xe Graphics (version 31.0.101.4502)

- Motherboard Dell 0JCT8J  A00

- 8.00 GB of RAM memory

- 829 GB SSD internal memory (859GB available) .

- Original AC Adapter Dell 45W 19,5v 2,31A (model LA45NM140   LPS)

Can you help me, please?

Hello Marcelodn,

Thank you for posting on the Intel communities. I understand that you are having issues running the display at 2560x1440p, 60Hz, I know that this can be annoying that why I am happy to help you.

Based on the laptop specifications I see the the maximum resolution supported by HDMI port is 1920x1080 @60Hz (24 bit). For more information you can access Vostro 3500 Setup and specifications guide

Let me know if you have further questions.
