CS2 4:3 stretched resolution makes the second monitor split in half

Hi, so I have a problem and I don't know how to solve it. I'm running CS2 on a laptop with an intel iris xe from an i5-11300h and an rtx 3050 laptop gpu, and when I want to play CS2 on fullscreen - 4:3 stretched - 1280x960 - the secondary monitor splits, decentralizes and moves my applications to one side. The option to play fullscreen windowed or windowed is not possible, because I tried them and it messes up the way the game is displayed, and the mouse moves wrong.

Hello AI_IA

Thank you for reaching out to us and detailing the issue you are encountering while play CS2 on your laptop. We understand how frustrating it can be to have display and mouse issues, especially when trying to enjoy your gaming experience.

Please generate an SSU report to help me further analyze important details on your system. To generate the SSU report, please refer to the article: How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*. Please send us the generated SSU.txt file.

To assist you more effectively, we need some additional information.

•To clarify, you are referring to the game Counter Strike 2?

•Did you make recent changes to the system?

•Are there any external peripherals connected to your laptop?

•Have you done other troubleshooting steps?

•Does the issue occur with any other games or applications when in full screen mode, or is it specific to CS2?

We look forward for your response!

Yes, I'm referring to the Counter Strike 2 game.
As changes, I think it counts as I reinstalled windows recently and had a change of ram cards about 3-4 months ago, but other than that nothing.
On my laptop I connected through a usb c - dp 1.4 cable a 165hz LG monitor which I use as primary monitor, the laptop's one being secondary 144hz.
I tried pretty much everything I knew or found additional on the internet to make it stop. I recently changed the resolution of the primary monitor to 1280x960 and set from intel command center as scaling stretched and noticed it's more ok, it doesn't always do as I mentioned on fullscreen.

At the moment I haven't noticed it doing that with other games, since CS2 is the only one I play 4:3 stretched.

Hello AI_IA

Thank you for your response and for providing your SSU Log and for the additional details. It's good to know that you've tried multiple troubleshooting.

For us to dig deeper, kindly confirm the following:

  • Since you have mentioned using the Intel Command Center for scaling, are you also using the NVIDIA Control Panel for Managing your RTX 3050? Have you tried adjusting scaling settings there?
  • Have you tested playing CS2 with just the monitor connected to see if the issue persists?
  • Have you ensured that the graphics driver for your RTX 3050 is up to date?

We look forward for your response!
