Delta Force and VRAM usage

Hi, ever since Delta Force was released I have attempted many times to play it with my Intel Arc A750 (further details in intel ssu attached) and in multiplayer games the pattern is always the same, no matter high or low settings, 1080p or 1440p, I will join a multiplayer game, doesnt matter which map, and the initial vram is about 5.8gb or thereabouts.  Then over the next 2-3 minutes the vram creeps up and up until eventually it goes over the 8gb mark (no complaints about the FPS 144+ until the vram caps) which in turn eventuates in stuttering.  Any suggestions, I use DDU regularly and am currently on driver 32.0.101.6793.

Hello Cebos,

Thank you for posting in the community! To help us investigate the issue you're experiencing with your A750, I have a few questions:

  1. Could you provide an image of your in-game display and graphics settings?
  2. Have you attempted to optimize your in-game settings?
  3. Do you have other games that exhibit similar behavior?
  4. Could you share a video showing the scenario where your VRAM usage increases beyond its capacity?
  5. Where did you download Delta Force from?
  6. Have you tested the GPU in another system to see if the same behavior occurs?

Best regards,

Hi and thank you,

  1. Could you provide an image of your in-game display and graphics settings? Its at the end of the video
  2. Have you attempted to optimize your in-game settings? I sure have as mentioned in original post any combination of settings will produce the same result as Delta Force's settings are weird like that.
  3. Do you have other games that exhibit similar behavior? No not like this.
  4. Could you share a video showing the scenario where your VRAM usage increases beyond its capacity? Link below
  5. Where did you download Delta Force from? Steam
  6. Have you tested the GPU in another system to see if the same behavior occurs? No, impossible

Hello Cebos,

I watched the YouTube video of your gameplay and noticed that the VRAM usage doesn't exceed 8GB, remaining around 7.8-7.9 GB. Based on my experience, this is typical for high settings in the game. Additionally, stuttering can occur when VRAM is heavily utilized.

However, you mentioned that even on low settings, the VRAM usage remains the same. Could you create another video with your game set to low settings and upload it to this thread? Please also share the VRAM consumption during gameplay.

Additionally, please generate a CapframeX data file with approximately 10 minutes of gameplay. This third-party application records FPS while you play. You can follow the link provided for installation instructions.

Hello Cebos,

Thank you for bringing this to my attention; I was able to see it. However, I would still appreciate a video of you playing with the low settings preset. This will allow me to make a comparison and verify if the issue appears on my end as well.
