First issue: game crashes in DirectX12
While playing using DirectX12, it will randomly freeze for a few seconds, in that period if there was an audio like an aircraft passing by, a machine gun or something like that it would start looping, and even though I can't do anything, inside or even outside of the game, my character will continue to move with the inputs I had during the freeze. If I were pressing W at the moment, the character would keep moving forward.
Half of the time it'll freeze for a few 5 to 15 seconds, and then it'll unfreeze for a split of a second, seem to reload textures, then resume with the following error: "[E]DX12: Trying to read debug layer message queue..." or others.
Then the other half it'll simply stay frozen and won't allow me to do anything, I'll have to turn off my PC, making me lose experience and get penalized.
I've tried many things but nothing seems to work. I could use DirectX11 and there are no crashes there, but I have an Intel ARC 770 GPU and a Ryzen 7 5700G CPU, so using DirectX12 can give me up to a whopping 70+ additional fps in intense moments.
Things I've tried: Updating my drivers to the latest version and going back to the oldest I could find 32.0.101.6874 (WHQL Certified), verifying game files, run Enlisted with different properties and even as administrator, updating the BIOS. attempted to disable DX12 debug layer, disable integrated graphics through Windows. Lower settings to low or medium (has only guaranteed that it'll freeze completely and have to turn my pc off, though it seems using the absolute lowest helps, or maybe I got lucky it didn't freeze that time).
Note: I use Enlisted's launcher, not Steam. couldn't replicate this crash when in practice mode, only in online. This will happen in nearly all maps, but there are a handful of times where this doesn't happen. Most of the time it'll happen when turning around quickly or aiming, but there are also times when just parachuting, the camera going back to the selecting squads screen, or simply moving will cause this. I didn't attempt to update Windows to 24H2 simply because it's known for being bad for games and I'm not risking it.
This has only happened with Enlisted, not War Thunder or any other game for that matter, not even heavier ones like Red Dead Redemption II.
I have attached 3 files, Gameplay 1, 2, and 3. The most common error is the one that appears in gameplay 2, while the one in 1 is less commo,n and the one in 3 is actually the first time I've seen that one.
If you're going to try to replicate this: There's a map event right now where it is guaranteed to trigger it.
Second issue: flickering shadows on new drivers with DirectX11.
This is a drivers issue, because going back to older drivers, such as 32.0.101.7026 (WHQL Certified) or 32.0.101.7028, makes the issue go away. However, drivers like 32.0.101.7029 and newer cause it to appear.
I attached 3 files: Texture bug DirectX11, texture bug 2, and Black lines.
I had to decrease the quality of the first video because it was too heavy to put here, but the flickering shadows in trees still are visible, and when in game they appear on other objects.
There are also black lines that appear too, and they disappear and reappear constantly, and in synch with the flickering shadows, those lines are not supposed to be there. They are more easily noticeable in Texture bug 2 and the PNG I attached. They don't appear when you're too near.
They also disappear completely when lowering temporal super-resolution to "low", but not only the game will look bad, some minor ghosting will also appear in certain objects.

Something else that I feel I must mention is that, in DirectX11, some textures will appear with far lower quality than in DirectX12. This happens regardless of the driver's version.
I'm not experienced with this kind of stuff, so I don't know if it could be an issue with the drivers or within the game itself. If it is something that has to do with the drivers, it'd be great if it were fixed too. If not, then tell me so I can contact Enlisted's support team instead, regarding this specific issue.

Hi @Jacob07,
Thank you for posting in the community.
To help us investigate the issue you're experiencing, please provide the following additional details:
- Kindly generate a crash dump file by following the steps outlined in this article.
- Are there any specific error messages displayed during the crash? If so, please share screenshots.
- When did the issue first occur?
- Have you made any recent software or hardware changes to your system?
- Have you noticed any signs of overheating?
- Could you also provide the download link for the game?
I can only investigate one issue per thread. Since this thread focuses on crashes while using DX12, please create a separate thread for the flickering issue. This will ensure our team can assist you more efficiently.
Looking forward to your response!
Best regards

Hello, Randy.
1: Ok, I did what you asked and then proceeded to play two matches in Enlisted. First one, the errors appeared, the same ones shown before, and in the second one, everything froze indefinitely, and I had to turn off and on my PC. I attempted to join back, but I couldn't.
Just in case, I will be sending you the six dump files generated, which correspond with the time I started playing today, and three extra that seem to be a bit heavier and were generated by the game itself, even before following your instructions. The ones with random letters are some days old.
Here:
2: Other than the ones I already attached, the only new one was about a texture failing to load, then nothing new. I'll attach the screenshots from the videos I already sent anyway. The picture named "another error" is not the one I mentioned just now, I couldn't screenshot it in time. The one I mentioned said more directly that the texture failed to load.
3: Since I got this PC. At first I didn't mind that much because I wasn't too invested in the game, especially because it only happened in that one specifically, but now I am, and it has started to become really tedious.
4: Yes, software, a BIOS update, however, the issue was already there before I even upgraded or changed anything and I only did it because I thought that could help. It didn't.
5: No. While playing I checked and the GPU never exceeded 80 °C. I doubt it's related to the temperature, because games like War Thunder can reach 80 °C and work without a problem, not even stuttering or anything.

Hi @Jacob07,
To help resolve the crashing issue you're experiencing in DX12, we recommend updating your graphics driver to the latest version: 32.0.101.8135. However, before installing the new driver, please follow these steps:
- Run DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) in Safe Mode to completely remove the previous graphics driver. This ensures a clean installation and helps prevent conflicts.
- Install the latest driver version 32.0.101.8135 from Intel’s official website.
- Retest the game after the driver update to check if the issue persists in DX12 mode.
Let us know the results after testing.
Best regards

Hello.
In my original complaint, I added a section that says "Things I've tried", and mentioned that I already tried that. I already tried updating my drivers to the latest version, which was exactly the one you mentioned just now, and used DDU beforehand. However, I decided to give it a try once again.
No, it didn't work, the problem persists and gives the same errors.
Best regards.

Hi @Jacob07,
Thank you for the updates. For clarity, I recommend updating the drivers to the exact version 32.0.101.8135, which was not included in your initial report. You only mentioned the following versions:
- 32.0.101.6874 (WHQL Certified)
- 32.0.101.7026 (WHQL Certified)
- 32.0.101.7028
That's why I suggested trying the more recent version. However, if the issue persists even after updating to the latest driver, further investigation will be necessary.
Allow me some time to look into this. I don’t have a specific ETA at the moment, but once I complete my analysis, I will notify you here.
Thank you for your patience.
Best regards

Hello, Randy.
I'm glad you're finally looking into his issue.
And you're right, I said I tried "Updating my drivers to the latest version" but didn't say 32.0.101.8135 specifically, so I see why the confusion.
In any case, I'll be happy to provide additional information if requested. Thank you for looking into this.
Best regards.

Hi @Jacob07,
Thank you for your patience while we continue to investigate this issue. I attempted to replicate the problem and was able to reproduce a similar freezing behavior, though with a different error message. To help me pinpoint the exact cause of your system, could you please provide the following details?
-
Check the Windows Event Viewer to see if any error messages or warnings appear around the time the game freezes.
-
Share your in-game graphics settings, specifically those related to DirectX 11 or 12, as well as your texture and gameplay settings.
These details will greatly assist me in comparing results and identifying the root cause of the issue. Once I have this information, I’ll proceed with the next steps and perform further analysis.
Best regards

Hello, Von M.
I did what you said. I played two matches, and in both of them, the game froze once, but it unfroze both times, I was lucky.
Checking the Windows Event Viewer after both matches, I found that these two errors appeared in the exact minute the game was freezing:
The first freeze happened at 1:49, and the second occurred in 2:14. In the Windows Event Viewer, it shows two warnings that match the moments the game froze. I'll share the screenshots and files, but since they're in Spanish, I'll also try to translate them here.
I'll also attach screenshots of my current in-game graphics settings.
First warning

Second Warning
Level: Warning
Date and Time: 14/10/2025 02:14:53
Origin: Display
Event ID: 4101
Task category: None
General: "The igfxnd display driver stopped responding and has recovered successfully."

You mentioned that you were able to replicate the freezing behavior, but with different error messages. After the game unfreezes, many different errors can appear, "[E]DX12: Trying to read debug layer message queue...", just happens to be the most common. I use DirectX12, and it only happens when using DirectX12.
Best regards.

Hello @Jacob07,
I truly appreciate how thorough you’ve been in gathering the information, including the Event Viewer logs, translations, and in-game settings. The warnings you captured, “The igfxnd display driver stopped responding and has recovered successfully”, confirm that the freezes are being triggered by the display driver briefly timing out and then recovering. It’s encouraging that your system was able to recover both times without requiring a reboot, which suggests the issue may be software or driver-related rather than hardware failure.
In the meantime, I'll need to conduct additional research on this issue and will post an update in this thread once I have more information about this matter.
Best regards
