Intel Graphics Command Center app no longer shows the option for adaptive brightness

Edited to add: I apologize, I solved it. It's because you have added the option for adaptive brightness while the battery is charging (before it was only when it was running on battery), and hidden the "power" tab while on battery (it showed up when I connected my adaptor). It's very annoying to hide a setting completely depending on the power supply, I think you should fix this in the next update. Thank you!

Hi, a few months back adaptive brightness was turn on on my laptop (Lenovo thinkpad running Win 10). After weeks of googling, I discovered the option was in Intel Graphics Command Center and I turned it off. This was at the end of November 2024.

Today, the adaptive brightness was turned back on. I opened the Intel Graphics Command Center to turn it back off. However, the app no longer shows the "battery" option, so I can no longer turn it off!!! I did not update the app to a newer version intentionally. I have no idea why it's changed.

I just want adaptive brightness turned off again and I'm at my wit's end. Please help. Thank you.

Hi Alicia1,

It seems that you are having issues with the Adaptive Brightness on Intel Graphics Command Center. I really appreciate your effort on troubleshooting until finding out the root cause of this.

I would like to do further investigation with regards to this concern. Please share the information below.

1. What version of Intel Graphics Command Center are you using?

2. What is the full model of your laptop?

3. Were you able to turn off the Adaptive Brightness after you plugged the charger?

I look forward to your response!
