Hi everyone,
I’m planning a tight-budget PC build for gaming and productivity (coding, browsing, multitasking, Android Studio, Docker). My planned build:
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 5700X
GPU: Intel Arc A750 (GUNNIR Photon 8GB)
RAM: 16GB DDR4 (2×8GB)
Motherboard: Gigabyte B450M DS3H V3
SSD: 512GB NVMe
PSU: Corsair CX550
CPU Cooler: DeepCool AG400 Plus
Case: Value-Top V900
I have a few questions from people who have used Arc cards:
How is the A750 for 1080p gaming? Are games smooth? Any stuttering or FPS drops?
Does the A750 run hot? Are temps okay with recent drivers?
Are drivers stable now, or still causing issues?
Would you recommend this GPU for my budget build, or is it better to choose a different one?
Thanks in advance for any real experiences, tips, or advice!

Hi ashikBD,
Thank you for reaching out with your planned PC build for gaming and productivity. Your build looks well-balanced for a tight budget, and I'd be happy to provide some insights regarding the Intel Arc A750 GPU.
1080p Gaming Performance: The Intel Arc A750 is generally capable of handling 1080p gaming. However, the smoothness of gameplay can vary depending on the specific games and their system requirements.
Some users have reported smooth experiences, while others have noted occasional stuttering or FPS drops, which can often be mitigated by adjusting in-game settings.
- The A750's temperature performance has improved with recent driver updates. While it can run warm, it typically stays within acceptable temperature ranges, especially with adequate case ventilation.
- Intel has been actively working on improving driver stability for the Arc series. While there have been significant improvements, some users may still encounter occasional issues. It's always a good idea to keep your drivers updated to benefit from the latest fixes and optimizations.
- Whether the A750 is the right choice for your build depends on your specific needs and the applications you plan to use. It's a solid option for a budget build, but if you prioritize absolute stability and compatibility, you might want to consider other options as well.
When it comes to performance, this will depend on the system requirements of the applications you're going to use. We cannot provide specific or direct answers as this will depend on how you use the system.
I hope this helps, and if you have any more questions or need further advice, feel free to reach out.
Best regards,
Jezreel Z.
