LOW frames are unstable and fluctuate greatly when playing PUBG with a B580 graphics card.

您好,我正在用我的 B580 显卡玩 PUBG,并注意到 LOW 帧率波动很大,有时会下降到 10-20 fps,这会导致游戏屏幕卡顿。

System & Game Configuration

  • Was the game working fine before?
  • Have you tried reinstalling the game?
  • When did the issue start? is it after a driver update, software update, or hardware update?

Driver & Software Details

  • Did you perform a clean driver installation using DDU before switching versions?
  • Have you tried disabling background applications or overlays (e.g., Arc Control, Discord, MSI Afterburner)?

Performance Logs

  • If possible, please run a CapFrameX capture for at least 2 minutes during gameplay in a complex scene. This will help us analyze frame pacing and GPU behavior.
  • You can also run the Intel® System Support Utility and share the .txt report to help us review your system configuration.

 

We’ve seen similar reports where DirectX 12 offers more stable performance on Arc GPUs compared to DX11 or DX11e2. If you haven’t already, we recommend sticking with DX12 and ensuring the game is running in fullscreen mode with V-Sync disabled.

Hello and thank you for your reply:

System and game configuration
1. the game is running well, there are no missing or corrupted game files.
2. yes , tried the game from fresh install.
3.It has been there since I purchased the B580 and have tried many ways to fix it.
4. also the system has been installed from fresh and checked the system files and there are no scenarios of missing or corrupted files.

Driver and software details
1. yes, every driver installation uses DDU to completely clean the installation.
2. Yes, tried disabling unrelated background programs, no effect.

Performance Logs
I used CapFrameX to capture a copy of the multiplayer scene data, and a copy of the urban area viewed from a distance, but I found the software to be terrible at recording Low frame touchdowns in this regard, he would not produce a record. This is not as good as MSI Afterburner, which displays in real time the actual number of frames when a Low frame bottoms out and the screen causes a stutter.

Also PUBG is a game that has terrible support for DX12, the frame rate drops a lot compared to DX11 and DX11e, I have tried switching to DX12 but the performance doesn't get better.

Hi, I've been testing all afternoon today, and after switching the DX version to DX12 Low frames bottomed out and eased a lot, rarely reoccurring.

However, the overall frames were reduced by about 80-100 fps compared to DX11 and DX11E, and the frames in scenes from a distance looking towards the city didn't change much, only about 100 fps as before.

So I'm still hoping to optimize DX11 on the driver side to solve the problem of Low frames bottoming out under the DX11 version.
