I installed need for speed unbound yesterday for the 1st time. Immediately after launching it on the loading screen the whole PC restarted.
After that I retried, and the game launched, and I could play. I exited the game successfully and when I launched it again, navigated to continue but boom, the whole PC restarted a hard restart just as before.
Since yesterday the issue is on and off at times, I can play at times just restart.

Intel ARC A770 Limited Edition (Latest Driver 32.0.101.5768)

*UPDATE*
I used a better method to disable the e-cores but only in the NFS Unbound. No need to disable the e-cores in BIOS.
I created a user.cfg file using note pad. Inside, it contains.
Thread.ProcessorCount 8
Thread.MaxProcessorCount 8
Thread.MinFreeProcessorCount 0
Thread.JobThreadPriority 0
GstRender.Thread.MaxProcessorCount 16
Which effectively limits the game to only using p-cores along with hyperthreading.
I copied the user.cfg file into the game's main directory folder.
No more shutdown/restart issue.
Intel kindly work with developer to fix the issue, the above stated is a work around not a fix.
A fix should come from intel and developer.
We should not have to limit the CPU performance.
Just work with the developer to get their engine to better utilize the hybrid architecture in its entirety all P-CORES and E-CORES, subsequently they will release game update that will patch/fix the issue.

Hello Stephen,
Good day.
I am still checking on this issue you've raised. Please confirm if you already updated to the latest microcode (0x12B). If not, please make sure to update it and make sure to apply the Intel Default settings. I highly recommend contacting your system manufacturer support team for this critical update. Please also confirm that you uninstalled and reinstalled the latest ARC graphics driver 32.0.101.6083_101.5736 using the Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU).
I will wait for your reply.
Best regards,
JeanetteC.

Hello Jeanette,
I can confirm that I have the latest 0x12B microcode since 27th September and yes, I'm on the current driver as usual I used DDU to remove the previous driver.
Yesterday there was a game update through the EA app, I updated the game and well the issue is still very much there.
Best Regards
Stephen

Hello Jeanette,
I have a strange *UPDATE* I'm experiencing the same shut down issue but on Death Stranding Directors Cut, immediately when it starts to load shaders sometimes halfway through it restarts the PC, sometimes the game loads in to the levels but then shuts down the PC.
This game was running perfectly fine earlier this year in the same setup, so as I alluded to earlier this could be a CPU issue with the i7-14700K
I am running the latest BIOS with the latest 2703 microcode 0x12B and as usual all settings are default.
I think I should initiate RMA
Since now it's more than one game with similar issue, I doubt it's the GPU since shader compilation is mostly done on the CPU!?
Best Regards,
Stephen Bwana

Well, it appears that the issue is pointing strongly to CPU, I have just tested the Tom Clancy's the Division and that too the issue appears when the CPU is being utilized initially when opening the game, the PC just restarts/shuts down and starts up again on its own. Sometimes the game loads just fine.
Also, this game used to work just fine with this CPU now issues.
