Severe FPS drop in Path of Exile 1 & 2 party play on Arc B580

My Intel Arc B580 GPU experiences unplayable frame drops (≤20 FPS) during multiplayer sessions in Path of Exile and Path of Exile 2, specifically when multiple skill effects are active. This occurs despite meeting recommended system requirements and troubleshooting

Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum. To assist us in investigating the issue, please provide the following details:


  • Does the issue occur only during cutscenes? Or does it also happen during regular gameplay or menus?
  • When did the issue start? Was it after a specific driver update or game patch?
  • What are the troubleshooting steps that you tried so far?
  • Is the Resizable Bar enabled?
  • Have you used DDU to completely remove all residual drivers and installed a new one?
  • Have you tried adjusting the graphics settings?
  • Could you provide a screenshot of your in-game display and graphics settings?
  • Which gaming platform did you use to download the game?

 

I would also like to obtain 3 CapFrameX log to thoroughly analyze the FPS performance. Kindly ensure that the game would run for a minimum of 2 minutes each.


Additionally, to gain a comprehensive understanding of your system, please use the System Support Utility (SSU). This tool will generate a text file compiling all your system information. I experience stuttering across all scenes in the game, not just during cutscenes. The issue is especially severe in co-op (party) mode. It started from the very first time I launched the game, so it doesn't seem related to any driver or game patch update.

I have already tried various graphics settings, and my GPU driver is always up to date. I also performed a clean driver installation using DDU to ensure no old drivers remained.

I'm not sure whether Resizable BAR is enabled on my system.

The game was downloaded from the official website.

 

This is the FPS situation in squad mode: the frame rate drops significantly and becomes unstable, often leading to noticeable stuttering and input delay. It feels much worse compared to solo play. The game becomes barely playable in intense combat or crowded areas when playing with others.
