Hello everyone!
I’m currently experiencing severe system lag once the Intel ARC A380 is enabled in Windows Device Manager. As soon as the GPU is activated, my entire system becomes almost unusable due to extreme lag and stuttering. Once I disable the ARC A380 again, the system runs normally.
All drivers are up to date:
BIOS (latest version)
Windows (fully updated)
NVIDIA and Intel GPU drivers (latest available versions)
The iGPU (on the AMD 9950X3D) was disabled during all tests, so there’s no conflict from the onboard graphics.
The ARC A380 is crucial for my setup, as I need it to handle YouTube streaming encoding while Twitch has now rolled out its new 2K Enhanced Broadcasting option, which already fully utilizes my primary GPU (4070 Ti Super). Without the ARC A380 running properly, I'm unable to distribute encoding loads efficiently across my system.
My current specs:
AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D
64GB DDR5 RAM (CL30 6000MHz)
NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti Super
Intel ARC A380
Gigabyte X870E Aorus Pro Mainboard
1000W be quiet! PSU
Is there any known issue, fix or workaround available for this problem? I would highly appreciate your assistance to get the ARC A380 running stable in parallel with my system.
Thank you very much in advance!
Kind regards

Hi JustVapeTV,
Thank you for reaching out to the Intel Community Forum. To assist us in investigating the issue, please provide the following details:
- When did the issue start?
- What are the troubleshooting steps that you tried so far?
- Is the Resizable Bar enabled?
- Have you used DDU to completely remove all residual drivers and installed a new one?
- have you tried removing the NVidia graphics card and use the Intel Arc graphics card alone?
- Have you tried adjusting the graphics settings?
Additionally, to gain a comprehensive understanding of your system, please use the System Support Utility (SSU). This tool will generate a text file compiling all your system information. You can follow the instructions at this link and send the text file here. Help Guide for the Intel® System Support Utility.
If you have any questions, please let us know. Thank you.

1. When did the issue start?
The issue first occurred when I started using the ARC A380 together with my RTX 4070 Ti Super.
Before that, the ARC A380 was installed in a system alongside an RX 6750 XT and worked perfectly as a dual encoder GPU.
However, I should mention that this setup was about a year ago.
2. What troubleshooting steps have you tried so far?
I uninstalled all drivers using DDU and then performed a clean driver installation.
A full Windows reinstallation is still pending but planned for today.
3. Is Resizable BAR enabled?
Yes, Resizable BAR is enabled.
4. Have you used DDU to completely remove all residual drivers and installed a new one?
Yes, as mentioned above, all drivers were completely removed and freshly installed using DDU.
5. Have you tried removing the NVIDIA graphics card and using the Intel Arc graphics card alone?
Yes, I actually tested this yesterday. In single GPU mode, the ARC A380 works without any issues, and telemetry data such as power draw and temperatures are correctly reported.
Now here's the interesting part:
In dual GPU mode, the ARC A380 (PCIe 4x4) is detected correctly, but tools like GPU-Z can no longer retrieve telemetry data.
When using YouTube or launching games, problems begin to appear.
However, from what I can see, the ARC A380 is not the primary cause – the problems seem to stem from the NVIDIA card. According to the Windows Task Manager, the NVIDIA GPU (PCIe 4x16) is the only one being utilized. Temperatures remain within normal range.
Yesterday, the system even crashed and subsequently disabled the ARC GPU entirely.
At this point, I’m not entirely sure what’s causing the issue, but it might be related to Windows GPU scheduling.
I'm open to other suggestions – but I suspect a fresh Windows installation is inevitable.
6. Have you tried adjusting the graphics settings?
No – the ARC A380 is used exclusively for encoding my YouTube stream.
I have not made changes to its rendering or visual settings.
SSU log is currently being generated and will be attached shortly.
Thanks in advance for your support – I truly appreciate it!

Hi JustVapeTV,
Thank you for your continued cooperation. I have reviewed the SSU logs and would like to clarify a few points to assist further with the troubleshooting process:
- How many monitors are connected to the computer? According to the SSU logs, it appears that only the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER is connected to a monitor.
- Is there a monitor also connected to the Intel(R) Arc(TM) A380 Graphics?
- Who is the manufacturer of the Intel(R) Arc(TM) A380 Graphics? Please provide the exact maker, as there are different manufacturers.
Additionally, to further troubleshoot the issue, please perform the following steps:
- Update the BIOS to version F6 because, as per the SSU, the BIOS is outdated.
- Try swapping the PCIe slots of the Nvidia and Intel Arc graphics cards. The motherboard manual indicates there are three slots available. Swap between PCIEX16 and PCIEX4_1 and check for any changes. For reference, please see page 4 of the manual.

Response to Intel Support:
Hi,
thank you for the continued support. Please find my answers to your recent questions below:
There are currently two monitors connected to my NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti SUPER: one running at 1440p and the other at 1080p.
The Intel® Arc™ A380 has no display connected. No, there is no monitor connected to the Arc A380.
The Arc A380 is manufactured by ASRock. It is the model without a dedicated power connector.
According to the official support page of my motherboard manufacturer, BIOS version FA4 is the latest available. This version was released on May 25, 2025. I could not find a newer version than that.
Swapping the PCIe slots is not possible due to space limitations. My RTX GPU is a triple-slot card and physically does not fit into the middle PCIe slot.

Hi JustVapeTV,
Thank you for your detailed response and for continuing to work with us. Your input is greatly appreciated.
Regarding the BIOS version, I understand you've mentioned that you're currently on version FA4, which appears to be the latest listed in some sources. However, upon reviewing the official support page for your motherboard (X870E AORUS PRO), I found that the latest available BIOS version is F6, released more recently than FA4. To proceed, I kindly ask you to update your BIOS to version F6, as this may contain critical fixes or compatibility improvements relevant to our current troubleshooting.
Visit the official Gigabyte support page here: https://www.gigabyte.com/Motherboard/X870E-AORUS-PRO-rev-10/support#support-dl
-
Click the “Download” button to expand the list.
-
Navigate to the BIOS (+7) section.
-
Locate and download BIOS version F6.
This update is crucial for our diagnostics, especially considering your setup with the Intel® Arc™ A380 and the RTX 4070 Ti SUPER running in parallel. Ensuring your system firmware is fully up to date allows us to eliminate potential BIOS-related compatibility issues that could be affecting GPU recognition or resource allocation.
Pleaes let me know the outcome if the issue still persists so I can proceed further with the investigation.
Best regards,
Von M.

Ah, I found the mistake. I have the rev. 1.1 of the Aorus Pro, not the 1.0. That means the FA4 version is the latest BIOS version for my motherboard (rev 1.1).

Hi JustVapeTV,
I have attempted multiple replications using our system but were unable to precisely replicate the problem. To help resolve this, we recommend taking the following steps:
- Enable OS controlled power management:
- Allow OS controlled ASPM by setting Native ASPM to Enabled in BIOS
- Enable PCI Express root port ASPM and select L1 Substates.
- Check power settings in Windows Graphics settings, there might be some manual setting for some applications that causes lag.
If you have any questions, please let me know. Thank you.
Best regards,
Archie D.
