A specific mod combination experiences severe issues with frame presentation. This issue was introduced in driver version 32.0.101.8132.
Affected mod combination:
- Fabric Mod Loader [link]
- Cubes Without Borders [link]
- Complementary Unbound [link]
- Iris (dependency of Complementary Unbound) [link]
- Sodium (dependency of Iris) [link]
The issue manifests when the player has some kind of GUI open ie. the inventory or pause menu. Frame persentation will become severely slow, only showing a new frame once every several seconds.
Reproduction Steps:
- Download and install the affected mods
- Enable the Complementary Unbound shader
- Create a new world, select World Type: Superflat > Customize > Presets and paste in this preset
minecraft:bedrock,minecraft:kelp_plant;minecraft:plains
- The above step is to aid with reproduction as the issue seems to require water & a cutout texture on the screen
- Once in the world, open your inventory or the pause menu
Observed Results:
- After doing all of the above, the game will appear to exibit extremely low FPS.
- The FPS that the game reports (can be seen by pressing F3) stays high and does not reflect the percieved stuttering, suggesting this is an issue with frame presentation.
Note: This issue can be resolved by downgrading to driver version 32.0.101.7029
I've attached an SSU log

Hi djmrFunnyMan,
Thank you for posting in our Community and for attaching the SSU log. I appreciate the step-by-step reproduction instructions as well. From what you’ve described, this does appear to be a driver-specific regression introduced with version 32.0.101.8132, since the issue does not occur on 32.0.101.7029.
Just to clarify, may I ask if you are the end user experiencing this issue firsthand, or are you a developer of the game/mods involved? This will help me better understand your perspective and ensure I provide you with the most appropriate support.
Have a nice day!
Best regards,
Von M.

Hello djmrFunnyMan,
Thank you for your confirmation. Since the problem occurs specifically with a modded version of Minecraft, we kindly recommend that you reach out to the mod or emulator developer and request that they submit a case directly. This will allow their development team to provide the necessary technical details.
In the meantime, I will close this inquiry now. If you need further assistance, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.
Best regards,
Von M.
