System Shock Remake crashes using Arc A770

I get hard crashes with this game. Black screen and unable to ctrl-alt-delete to return to desktop. I have to power cycle the computer. Currently, this is the only game I've experienced this issue. I may play for 5 minutes or up to a half hour prior to crashing. There are no visible error messages. Below is the computer setup. I've done a clean install of drivers as far as I understand doing this. Thanks for any help.

ASRock B760M Pro RS/D4 WiFi

PowerSpec 650 Watt 80 Plus

Intel Core i5-13400 Raptor Lake 2.5GHz

G.Skill Ripjaws V 32GB (2 x 16GB) DDR4-3200

Arc A770

Win 11 Pro

Drivers were updated 6/25/2023

Hello, just wanted to chime in because I have issues with the same game.

I have a computer running the same game running into crashing issues. I have made sure everything I can think of is up to date. Sometimes I'll get some errors on the crash, but most of the time the game just stops. It doesn't happen at any specific time playing which makes it tough. I've played for hours and been fine before eventually crashing, then it may take anywhere from 5-45 minutes to crash, or be fine for hour(s). It doesn't seem to have any correlation to specific areas in the game either.

Reading through the post I have also followed your tips, but issue persists. I know issues like this are hard to diagnose, but anything else your you and your team can find would be greatly appreciated

CPU: Ryzen 5 3600

GPU: Intel Arc A770 driver 31.0.101.4577

Most the other data is in the attached file.

Thanks for the feedback. At this point, I'll just finish the game on my laptop. I just don't want to go through the hassle of re-installing my OS. However I'll probably try disabling the integrated graphics. If that happens to resolve the problem, I'll issue feedback. Again thanks.

Hello mikeleachuno,

Thanks for the confirmation. I understand if you do not want to perform a clean installation of the operating system. At this point, I recommend you open a new thread in case disabling the integrated graphics solves the issue and you can use this one as a reference.

I will proceed to close this thread. However, you can open a new one in case you need further support or if you face any issues with our products.

Hello mikeleachuno,

In this last reply, I would like to let you know that I'll temporarily close this thread under the assumption the crashing you are seeing may be occurring due to an operating system issue or the game trying to run on the Integrated graphics.

We tested the latest driver trying to replicate the crash and yet it worked fine in our lab. If at any point in the near future, you manage to re-test with our suggestions and still see the issue please let us know and we'll take it from there.

Thanks for your time and comprehension.

You probably are suffering from the same issue many others have as well. It's not the game that is crashing the GPU, its a general issue with the GPU https://community.intel.com/t5/Intel-ARC-Graphics/Random-Freezes-with-Arc-Series-GPUs-Thread/

Many are having these issue and its still a mystery what is causing them.

I have to apologize for picking up this old thread. But sadly I have to face the same issue, with the system shock remake (steam) . I have read all comments and I will try all your suggestions today.

Specs:
Intel i5-13500
Asrock z690 phantom gaming 4 latest bios
32gb gekillt 3600mhz ram
Asrock arc a770 16gb
Nvme m.2 and ssd
ReBar enabled
Latest driver
Windows 11

What is the actual Status quo concerning this issue? Is there a conclusion with the latest hints and steps to solve this problem?

Best regards from germany.
