Virtual Camera from Arc Control only 720p

Hi

I just installed an Arc A310 on my system and running Arc Control (updated to latest)

In Studio, I have virtual camera on and set to 1080p and the source is a 1080p camera

However in OBS when I add the Intel Virtual Camera - it only lists 1280x720 30fps

is there a setting i'm missing? I've gone into the broadcast and capture settings and set them to 1080p as well but that didnt do anything

ReBAR is enabled.

Hello RaysinToast,

Thank you for posting in the communities. I would like to apologize for the delay in my response. Let me make it up to you. When you mention OBS, are you using a 3rd party software aside from the intel arc control? I just want to make sure we are on the same page. Additionally, may I please know if you are using a laptop or a customer build desktop system? You may send us the SSU logs so we can be more familiar with your specification. If you are using a customer build desktop, may I please know the camera model that model that you are using? I will be waiting for your reply.

Hi

no other software - just Intel Arc and OBS

this is a customer built desktop PC, the board is Asus Prime x670E-Pro with Ryzen 7950x.

The Camera is a Sony ZV-E10 (current video mode set to 1080p)

Hello RaysinToast,

Thank you for confirming. So far in the logs, I can confirm you are using the latest. Kindly please follow this article to use the Virtual Camera in Intel Arc Control: How Do I Use the Virtual Camera in Intel® Arc Control for Streaming or Content Creation? If you have followed this step already , please provide a screenshot of the view that you are using. Additionally, please share the version of your Intel Arc Control so we can take a further look at this for you.

I have already tried those steps as they are the only way to get the device to show in OBS

here you can see the version, below

Here is the device without Intel Arc's virtual camera and going straight to OBS as a source - allowing to go 1920x1080

Hello RaysinToast,

Thank you for your patience as we continue our investigation. To assist us further, we would like to clarify a few details. May we please know the source from which you have obtained OBS Studio? The reason we ask is because it is available through various channels such as Steam, the Microsoft Store, and directly from the OBS website. Additionally, could you please inform us of the specific version of OBS Studio you are currently utilizing?

I will be waiting for your reply.

Hello

I have upgraded to driver 31.101.5534

Still same issue - still getting 1280x720 as only output no matter what resolution i select for the virtual camera

I have tested the camera on my Nvidia card and it's broadcast software outputs to 1920x1080 with same setup, the INTEL software still only outputting to 1280x720

has there been any development?

Hello RaysinToast,

Thank you for your patience and for trying the latest graphics driver. After a thorough investigation and replication of the issue, we have determined that this behavior is expected, as the output resolution of our virtual camera is fixed at 720p.

I understand this may not meet your expectations, but it is the intended behavior for this feature. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to let us know.

Hi

I have had a chance to see the reply but i dont understand how this is your conclusion.

Is the application buggy? It clearly states the output of video and 1080p is selectable. I've seen others on forums have their outputs to 1080p as well.

Hello RaysinToast,

Thank you for your patience. After a thorough investigation, we have determined that the current maximum resolution is 720p. The option in Arc Control listing 1080p will be revisited in future updates, but we do not have an estimated timeline for this yet.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I will now close this inquiry. If you need further assistance, please submit a new question, as this thread will no longer be monitored.

Best regards,
