Hello,

You can

Try this:

Open Command Prompt as admin and run:

netsh winsock reset
netsh int ip reset
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /renew
ipconfig /flushdns
Restart your laptop.

Best Regard,

Hi ddd_5,

Thank you for posting in our Community. I’d like to gather a bit more information so we can narrow down the possible causes and identify the best solution.

  1. Could you please confirm your laptop’s make and model, as well as the exact version of Windows you’re running?
  2. Have you noticed if the issue occurs when connected to other Wi-Fi networks, or only on your current network?
  3. Could you test whether wired (Ethernet) Internet works on your laptop?
  4. When the connection issue occurs, are you seeing any error messages in your browser or apps?
  5. Have you tried temporarily disabling any antivirus or firewall software to see if it changes the behavior?
  6. Could you check your Network and Sharing Center or Network Status settings to see if the network is showing as “No Internet” despite being connected?
  7. You mentioned that your Wi-Fi issue began after installing the latest version of the GPU driver, and based on your observation, this could be the root cause. Could you please clarify whether the issue is related to the graphics or to the wireless/Wi-Fi connection?

I'd like to delve deeper and verify specifics like the graphics models, precise driver versions, and any system errors. Utilizing the Intel SSU tool will enable me to collect detailed information about your system setup, which could aid in identifying the underlying cause of this issue.

Have a nice day!

windows 11 version is 24h2
laptop: huawei matebook 14 pro
I can't say exact model of gpu because wherever I see it's just "intel arc graphics". device id is 7d55 maybe it will be useful
gpu driver version: 32.0.101.6972

I can't check if ethernet works, but I tried to get Internet with USB tethering, mobile hotspot and it didn't work. when I open browser it says that there's no connection. same problem with messengers and other programs that need Internet connection.
network is showing "connected, protected". there're no other messages.

oh, there's one more thing I should mention. first time I opened technical service it said that "there is a problem with the dns cache" and suggested to restart computer. I did that but nothing happened. after some attempts to get Internet connection back I accidentally opened technical service again and it said that it couldn't find WiFi driver or something like that(I don't remember what exactly it said((). I installed latest version of driver(downloaded it to phone and get .exe file with usb). there's no connection still and I reset network 2 times(by the settings and in the console). nothing is changed again. now technical service says that "there is a problem with the dns cache" again

Hello ddd_5,

Thank you for providing the detailed information regarding your system and the troubleshooting steps you’ve already performed. Based on your description, the issue seems to be related to your network configuration or DNS resolution, as it persists across different connection methods (USB tethering, mobile hotspot) and reappears after network resets. The fact that the troubleshooter sometimes reports a missing Wi-Fi driver and other times reports a DNS cache problem suggests there could be a deeper networking stack or driver conflict.

In the meantime, please provide your Intel SSU logs so we can gather more detailed information about your system configuration, which may help us identify the root cause of the issue

Have a nice day!

Hello ddd_5,

I’d like to confirm a few details to help us better understand the situation and proceed with the investigation.

First, could you please confirm whether the wireless adapter currently installed in your system is the original one that came pre-installed with your laptop? Or have you recently replaced or installed a new adapter? This information is important because hardware changes can affect compatibility and performance.

Additionally, since you're using a laptop, we strongly recommend using drivers provided directly by the laptop manufacturer (OEM). These drivers are specifically customized to work best with your system’s hardware and software configuration. Have you had a chance to try installing the OEM-provided drivers to see if they improve the performance or resolve the issue?

I look forward to your response.

I did that... it didn't help. there're still no Internet connection and "some problems with dns cache". maybe I should reinstall os to solve this problem?

Hello ddd_5,

Thank you for taking the time to try the recommendations I provided. You may also consider reinstalling the operating system, as this could help revert any changes that may have contributed to the issue.

I will continue to investigate this matter further and will follow up with you as soon as I have additional information.

Yes, absolutely! Welcome to the vagaries of Windows 11's Modern Standby feature. Modern Standby was also supported in Windows 10, but it seems to act a lot differently in Windows 11. It maybe the background maintenance tasks that Windows 11 is performing.

Just saying,

...S

P.S. Amongst other features, you could use the Microsoft PowerToys' Awake tool to keep the system awake for a period of time or indefinitely.

Hello ddd_5,

I'm glad to hear that reinstalling the operating system resolved the connectivity issue. This suggests that the problem was likely related to the OS itself rather than the graphics driver installation.

However, since a new issue has now appeared, I strongly recommend installing all drivers directly from your laptop manufacturer's website. These drivers are specifically designed for your system and are more likely to ensure stability and compatibility.

Additionally, it may be helpful to reach out to the laptop manufacturer support team for further assistance, especially if the issue persists.

With this in mind, I will now close the case. If you have any questions or concerns, please submit a new question as this thread will no longer be monitored.
