i have something wrong with my driver intel arc

I installed latest version of intel arc iris xe graphics for windows, version was 32.0.101.6078
the release date of it was September 24, 2024.
But for some reason, i noticed while played smth it go t crashed not the first time, and reason was driver problem, i check intel arc control and it said that my version was 31.0.101.4032 with release date 21.12.2022, what the hell help plz

I can't tell you if you absolutely need the latest driver for the game, but it is true that Windows Update regularly installs older drivers even if the user has already manually installed the latest driver version. In my experience, you can prevent this by doing the following:

1. Install the latest driver from the Intel download page.
2. After rebooting the computer, let Windows search for updates. An old Intel driver will be found and installed.
3. After rebooting the computer again, manually install the latest Intel driver again but without the "clean install" option.
4. After completing the installation and rebooting, the driver should remain.

It would be nice if Microsoft and Intel would finally sort out this mess. I don't understand how administrators of business customers with hundreds of devices in their offices can deal with this behavior... I have been observing this for 2 years now.
