I was following this guide https://dgpu-docs.intel.com/driver/client/overview.html#ubuntu-latest
for ubuntu 24.04
and whenever I tried to run this command:
sudo apt-get install -y libze-intel-gpu1 libze1 intel-metrics-discovery intel-opencl-icd clinfo intel-gsc
I was getting this error:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
clinfo is already the newest version (3.0.23.01.25-1build1).
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:
The following packages have unmet dependencies:
libigdfcl2 : Depends: libz3-4 (>= 4.7.1) but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
I could not install libz3-4 until I added the universe branch:
Software & Update > Ubuntu Software > Community-maintained free and open-source software (universe)
Please update the guide in https://dgpu-docs.intel.com/driver/client/overview.html#ubuntu-latest
so other won't have this problem.
Thank you
