I have a laptop with an intel core ultra 155h and for some reason it only works with steam games, all other games (epic games, xbox, GOG) dont show up and if I try to add them they come up with an error mentioning administrator permissions required, I have tried running the app as administrator, changing the app permissions, nothing has worked, any ideas? (this is specifically for profiles)

Hello MAGIC_CRL,

Thank you for posting your query on the Intel Community Forum.

I understand your concern regarding the Intel® Graphics Software (IGS) Profiles page. From your description, it appears that Steam games are being detected correctly, while games from other platforms such as Epic Games, Xbox, and GOG do not appear in the Profiles page. Additionally, when attempting to manually add these games, you receive an error related to administrator permissions.

To help us further, could you please let us know which specific game(s) are not being detected by IGS? Additionally, please confirm from which platform the game was installed from?

For your reference, the Intel Graphics Software (IGS) Profiles page is designed to automatically scan the system for installed applications and games and create profiles for them. A scan should automatically run when IGS is opened and you navigate to the Profiles page.

The scan is designed to detect games from several popular game libraries, including:

  • Steam (Valve)
  • Epic Games
  • Battle.net (Blizzard)
  • EA Desktop (EA)
  • GOG
  • Itch.io

Could you please provide an updated Intel® System Support Utility (SSU) report?

You can download the SSU tool using the link below:

How to get the Intel® System Support Utility Logs on Windows*

Please note: While generating the SSU report, kindly uncheck the “Networking” option.

Could you please let us know the currently installed Intel® Graphics Software (IGS) version?

Once we receive the requested details regarding the affected game(s) and their installation platform, we will review the behavior further and assist you better.

We hope the information provided above is helpful. If you have any questions or require further assistance, please do not hesitate to let us know.

Thank you for your cooperation, and we look forward to your response.

Best regards,

CM

Hello MAGIC_CRL,

Thank you for taking the time to post on the Intel Community Forum — we really appreciate you sharing the details of your experience, and we're glad to help get things sorted out.

After reviewing the details you shared, we noticed that the graphics driver currently installed on your system is one version behind the latest available release. We have a newer driver ready for you, and updating to it may help resolve the issue you're experiencing.

Here's what we'd recommend:

Step 1 – Download & Install the Latest Driver Please grab the latest Intel Arc Graphics driver from our official download page: Intel Arc Graphics Driver for Windows

Step 2 – Perform a Clean Driver Installation using DDU Rather than a standard update, we recommend using Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to fully remove the existing driver before installing the new one. This helps avoid any leftover files that could cause conflicts. Step-by-step DDU Clean Installation Guide

Step 3 – Reinstall Intel Graphics Software Once the driver is installed, please also uninstall and reinstall the Intel Graphics Software to ensure everything is running fresh and in sync with the new driver.

Please don't hesitate to reply if you run into any questions along the way — we're here and happy to help.

Thank you for your time and support.
