Good morning, I'm contacting you here regarding GTA V Enhanced. There's a major performance issue with ray tracing for the Intel Arc A770 Limited Edition graphics card, and it's a serious problem.
I hope you will do something for the users or players; I understand the situation of the driver engineers, but this is getting interesting. Very, very poor performance for Intel Arc graphics, all models in the A series.
I don't think it's our problem; it's a problem due to a lack of improvements and driver fixes regarding ray tracing optimization. I'm getting unplayable performance with ray tracing.
I'm going to send you the performance data from both CapFrameX and videos. I'm sure you're laughing at us or this is a scam. And I think it's time to get serious, and I'm going to be very, very serious with you. This is over. I'm playing a freaking GTA V Enhanced game with very high ray tracing at 2K resolution 2560x1440. I've already tried several resolutions and I can't even get past 60 FPS.
Well, I think you know about another request, where I still haven't seen any performance improvements. And that Intel Arc A770 Limited Edition graphics card, is it superior to or equivalent to the RTX 4060? Okay, I can imagine that the Arc A770 is 3% better than the RTX 4060, just a little.
But that little bit should be enough power to handle Ray Tracing at maximum quality with 2K resolution. It's capable, and more than capable, can easily exceed 60+ FPS, and can even reach higher. And it's no longer a hardware performance issue with the computer; that's your problem.
The top-of-the-line graphics cards are the Arc B580 12GB and A770 16GB. These two graphics cards are capable of outperforming, although obviously their architectures are different.
I've seen videos where the famous RTX 4060, Nvidia's queen, runs ray tracing at a maximum of 2K with native DLSS at 60 to 70 FPS. Since GTA V Enhanced doesn't have Intel XeSS technology, due to your inability to communicate with the game's engineers, I have to enable native AMD FSR 3 technology, and even then I only get 30 to 35 FPS. If I disable it, which is my case, to play at native 2K, I get 25 to 30 FPS. You must understand that my graphics card is superior to the RTX 3060, so at native FPS it should be at 65 to 70 FPS max. And if I want more FPS, since you don't have XeSS in GTA V Enhanced, I should at least enable FSR 3 in quality mode 70+ with a peak of 80 FPS.
I'll say it again: the Intel Arc A770 Limited Edition is slightly better than an RTX 4060, but that small difference should be noticeable, at least between 3% and 5%. Forget about the processor also making a difference; forget it. My processor is an i7-11700K from the K series, which is sufficient and meets the recommended requirements for both the game and the graphics card. Furthermore, I know that the i7-11700K is better than an i5-12400F processor. I know this from experience, as I've owned several graphics cards.
I'm going to send you all the steps, videos, images, files, etc. Please pin this to the comments so the engineers can see it and do the work.

One more thing, I'm also hoping to enjoy GTA 6 on PC in 2027 with high 2K graphics at 60 FPS. I'm hoping to enjoy it and hoping I don't make the same mistake you guys are making.

Hello addelucas123,
Thank you for reaching out to Intel Community Forum. I understand your concern regarding the low ray tracing performance in GTA V Enhanced using the Intel Arc A770 Limited Edition graphics card. To help investigate this further, I would like to ask a few questions:
- Are the performance issues isolated to GTA V Enhanced only, or do you experience similar behavior in other games with ray tracing?
- Do the performance drops occur consistently, or are they random? If reproducible, could you share the steps to recreate the issue?
- Could you provide videos showing the FPS drops and visual settings used?
- Were there any recent changes to your system before the issue started (e.g., driver updates, Windows updates, BIOS changes)?
- Furthermore, can you please provide the CapFrameX data? Please see below on how to get the data:
CapFrameX Installation Instructions:
- Go to https://www.capframex.com/download and download the latest version of CapframeX.
- Go to https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/rtss-rivatuner-statistics-server-download.html and download the latest version of RTSS.
- Unzip both installers and install them.
- Launch CapFrameX and then close it. This is so it creates the user Configuration folder.
- Download and unzip the file OverlayEntryConfiguration_0.json (attached in this post) with the recommended RTSS configuration.
- Paste this file to %userprofile%\Documents\CapFrameX\Configuration.
- In the Capture tab, set the "Capture time" to 0. This is to remove the preset limit in capture time.
- In the Overlay tab, uncheck "Auto-Disable OSD" and click the save icon.
Capturing the Performance Data:
- Open CapframeX and do NOT minimize or close it.
- Open the game and go to the part of the game you need to be to reproduce the issue. You should see the RTSS overlay in the top left corner of your screen, with the status "[game name] ready to capture…".
- Press F11 to start capturing data and reproduce the issue. The Status in the overlay will change to "Recording frametimes XX s".
- Once you have reproduced the issue, press F11 to finish the data capturing. The Status in the overlay will change to "Processing data".
- Back to CapFrameX, you can find all the data captures in the left panel of the Analysis tab. Clicking any one of these captures will display the results on the right.
- To export the data captured as a JSON file, right-click the capture and click on "Copy/paste recording file(s)".
Once I receive your performance data, videos, and other files, I will review them internally to further investigate the issue.
I will wait for your response so I can continue assisting you.
Thank you.
Best regards,
Kenneth B.

Good morning, I'm attaching everything, but again, I don't want any excuses, okay? Please check the message I sent you, because I sent you images and videos. Please review it because I've attached everything.
- Are the performance issues isolated to GTA V Enhanced only, or do you experience similar behavior in other games with ray tracing? GTA V Enhanced and Indiana Jones and the Grand Circle
- Do the performance drops occur consistently, or are they random? If reproducible, could you share the steps to recreate the issue? constant and unplayable
- Could you provide videos showing the FPS drops and visual settings used? It's in the link.
- Were there any recent changes to your system before the issue started (e.g., driver updates, Windows updates, BIOS changes)? No
Here's everything you asked for. Please check the previous messages, because I've attached the photo and videos. Anyway, I've attached new images, but the video is still the same. To avoid being too overwhelming, I've copied it from my YouTube channel to share with you.
Please let me know as soon as possible and reply quickly. Thank you. I also want confirmation on whether this will be improved or not. If not, please say so and I'll upgrade my graphics card to an NVIDIA one. I don't think it's fair, and I await your response from your drivers and engineers.

Hello addelucas123,
I will coordinate this internally to further investigate the issue and provide you with information regarding the next steps and answers to your questions. Your observations about the comparison with other GPUs and the lack of XeSS support in GTA V Enhanced are noted and will be considered during the review.
Please allow some time for this process. I will update you as soon as I have more information.
Best regards,

Good evening. I hope so, because I'm getting tired of this. This Intel Arc A770 Limited Edition graphics card has Ray Tracing technology, and we should be taking advantage of it. But it turns out I'm not taking advantage of it because it's unplayable.
The Intel Arc A770 16GB Limited Edition graphics card is designed for 1440p gaming with all settings maxed out, including ray tracing, achieving over 60 FPS and outperforming the RTX 4060 by 5%.
The Intel Arc B580 is also capable of playing games at 1440p with everything maxed out, including maximum ray tracing, outperforming the RTX 4060 by 10%.
And I got that Intel Arc A770 Limited Edition graphics card so I could enjoy it, and I paid for that product to outperform the RTX 4060 by 5% in terms of maximum settings with ray tracing maxed out, Achieving a resolution of 1440p, that is, 2K, at over 60 FPS—I mean over because the Arc A770 can easily outperform the RTX 4060, and I paid for that product.
So please contact the engineers and have them get in touch with the GTA V Enhanced developers and reach an agreement, just like they did internally with NVIDIA.
And I have more problems with ray tracing, GTA V Enhanced, Indiana Jones and the Grand Circle, Alan Wake 2, and a few more.
The user has nothing to do with contacting support, whether it's Rockstar or another company. Because that's not how the work is done. It's done from here so that internal support can contact developers directly, so please take this seriously, or I'll have to report millions. I have no problem with that.
